WOW! How lucky am I to work 5 blocks from the Ocean. Today is absolutely beautiful! The sun is shining the birds are singing and the people are out. This weekend is Memorial weekend the beginning of our summer season. The workmen and women are all running around with last minute clean ups and fixing toliets, windows, air conditioners etc. The beach is buzzing getting ready for our up coming vistors. Remember while visiting the beach take time to visit some of our wonderful listings many will open this weekend in antcipation of the prospective buyer stopping in.
Rehobotho Avenue is gearing up as well. The merchant are stocking the shelves, the food trucks are delivering all the yummy found to the restaraunts and I can smell the pizza, french fries and ice cream. And they all smell sooooo good.
Rehoboth Beach 2 Bedroom 2 Bath condo's east of Rte 1 starting in the lower $200's. You can bike to the beach. Single Family homes in the low $300's just off Rte 1. We have some really great deals going on right now and the rates are still low. So if you are looking for the vacation getaway, thinking of retiring we have the perfect spot for you.
Although the weather today was cold and rainy the summer season is just around the corner. I was in Ocean City for a quick visit with some friends this weekend and the people were out. The annual Custom Car Show was in town and it draws a huge crowd. It is not recommended as weekend to visit OC if you are not a car fan. I have a large group of friends that attend every year and now that I am just a short drive away I try to go and hang out for a day or so. Ocean City is not my area of Real Estate but I have friends there who are in the business and are very knowledgeable of the current market. Rehoboth was buzzing this weekend as well with their annual side walk sale and the weather turned out to be warm and sunny.
A favorite spot on the Rehoboth boardwalk visited by both locals and tourist regularly was busy this weekend. I must admit I was on the Ocean City boardwalk enjoying their fries, ice cream and pizza I am lucky enough to be able to hit the Rehoboth boardwalk during the week for lunch. The Summer House, Louie's Pizza, Thrasher Fries, The Cultural Pearl, Purple Parrot, and don't let me forget Arena's. All wonderful places for a sit down meal or quick snack. So when you are thinking a place visit in the upcoming weekends remember Delaware has so much to do in both season and off season, there is NEVER a dull moment in our area.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's. Although today I am in the office working my Sunday shift its a beautiful day at the beach. No one is really looking for homes today, but the weather is perfect. This afternoon I will head home to a wonderful family cookout, with my children, my husband, my mom and one of two of my brothers, I am sad however, my sister will not be there she is to far away. I am very lucky to live in such a wonderful place. I can go shopping, sit on the beach for a few hours on sunny day or work at home in my gardens. Delaware is very beautiful this time of year with the flowers blooming, the crowds are minimal and the sun is shining.
Enjoy your day mom's
Wow I am so happy that Spring has finally arrived. Although I have not place many SOLD signs this winter I have been rather busy with other things. I coached cheerleading at my daughter's High School this past Winter and loved it. The girls were so much fun, in addition I worked Part time in my friends Liquor Store (completely different from other jobs I have had in the past) And last but not I began attending classes at the local college to finally begin working on my degree again after many years of sabatical. I plan to take it slow to start, but hope to be finished sometime in the next 5-6 years. After being out of school for so long its takes alittle adjusting to get back into the habit of Homework and relearning things I had forgotten all about.
I am looking forward to the warmer weather that should be upon us in the next few weeks so I can get started on my garden (which I hope to stay in control of this year) and some much needed landscaping in my yard.
Sellers remember a pretty yard draws people to your home, so get the rakes, and shovels ready for upcoming weeks, mulch those flower beds and trim the trees. Fresh flowers on the tables in the kitchen, dining room and even bedrooms can warm up any room. The buyers are coming so get ready.
