By Registering your phone number "from your phone" it will be blocked from telemarketers for the next five years. Good Luck Y'all.

Downtown Columbus Georgia is thriving, new eateries, pubs, businesses and landscaping on Broadway!
It won't keep you dry in the rain and may not provide a lot of shade. It's Art! It will give you something to talk about, you might even wonder, what were they thinking. Broadway is dotted with metal sculptures, one of my favorites is at Heritage Park on lower Broadway.
This part of Broadway is a bit more traditional, but there is ample space for artistic expression of all types.
From Here it only gets better and more interesting! By the way this beautiful structure is for lease, in the past it has housed several banks.
If my memory serves me correctly. It seems that in the 1980's Rankin Square was the focal point and the beginning of Downtown Columbus Georgia revitalization efforts.
The Fine Arts Center replaced the Columbus Police Department, which sat in the shadow of the Government Center since the 1970's. This state of the art theater is home to the Columbus Symphony and hundreds of art and drama students from Columbus State University.

Columbus Georgia, Fort Benning and Phenix City Alabama, make up our tri-city community. This is the view from the North ByPass of Columbus Ga. into North Phenix City Al. Just around the bend is the Chattahoochee River and the top right of the landscape is near Summerville Road, Phenix City Al.
It is a rare occasion when it snows in Columbus Ga. but it happened. Much to the delight of all the children in town, Muscogee County schools closed the day of the snow and the day after.
Danny M. Bishop, 1SG U.S. Army Retired was laid to rest at the Fort Benning Main Post Cemetery. Graveside services with Military Honors were held on a blustery rainy morning and just about ten minutes prior to the beginning of the service the rain stopped. Tears flowed as Taps sounded. A very professional and sympathetic Military Detail fired three volleys and gave a final salute to an old soldier.
Honoring Danny Bishop were family and friends, members and the Color Guard of VFW Post 665, where Danny was an active member and former Commander. Members of the American Legion Post 35 attended, as well as representatives of the Elks Lodge 111. Danny Bishop was a kind gentle man and an exemplary soldier. This former POW served in WWII, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam. I will remember Danny M. Bishop for the rest of my days.
