Tampa Bay Host Superbowl XLIII 2009
In tampa this year Super Bowl XLIII will be the 43rd annual edition of the Super Bowl in American football, and the 39th annual championship game of the modern-era National Football League (NFL).
The game will be a matchup between the 2008 champions of the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). The game is scheduled to be played on February 1st, 2009 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, the second Super Bowl at this venue and the fourth overall in that city. Tampa was selected for the game site on May 25, 2005, beating out three other finalists: Atlanta, Houston, and Miami.
The Super Bowl XLIII logo features an abstract representation of a football stadium, with blue and green colors representing the regional waterways and landscapes of Tampa Bay. In a tradition starting with the Super Bowl XL logo, two stars - one red, representing the AFC, and one blue, representing the NFC - are flanked on either side of the Super Bowl XLIII logo. The tagline for Super Bowl XLIII as well as the 2008 NFL season is "Believe In Now".

Bill Heard Chevy shuts down - what customers need to know
| Plant City, FL--- If you're shopping for a car today, Bill Heard Chevrolet in Plant City looks like the place to be. But, would be customer Mike Ortiz found out looks can be deceiving. When he showed up, he found out the facility is closed.
"Yea very surprised, I never thought it would close down it's a pretty big dealership," Ortiz says. In fact, it was the biggest Chevy dealer Tampa Bay. But, the Bill Heard company announced on Wednesday it was shutting down all 13 of their stores, including the one in Plant City because they could no longer compete in the current economy. Today they're turning away customers. But what happens to the people who already bought cars here? "Anyone who had their car in service, we're not going to stop until we fix it and anybody who had their cars in the body shop we're going to fix them all," says general manager Bob Baker. Baker says that all of his customers will be taken care of including those with outstanding loans. "I got my finance director here. He's calling them and getting them done through the banks and getting all the deals bought." As for people with warranties, they will be honored somewhere else. That's why the phone has been ringing off the hook at Michael Holley Chevrolet in Lakeland. "There's not a long wait, you can get in and get your car serviced, your warranty is good" says dealership owner Michael Holley. Starting the first weekend of October, Michael Holley in Chevrolet will be open seven days a week to accommodate the people who might now have to drive further. "Yes we'll honor Chevrolets warranty we'll honor any extended warranty. If there's an insurance job, a body shop job, we'll honor any estimate written by an insurance company and we'll try to get them in expeditiously," Holley says. Why did Trump Tower Tampa never make it? My personal belief was that Donald Trump knew when to get out, so he slid out while the market was still warm. At first there was rumor that the ground was not solid, then a few other things. Now today, I ran across this: (interesting enough)
A onetime financial savior of the Trump Tower Tampa project pleaded guilty Tuesday to evading more than $170-million in federal taxes. Frank Amodeo, former head of Mirabilis Ventures Inc., is accused of buying up companies, many in payroll services, and using withheld employee taxes to buy more companies. "I erroneously believed that we were allowed to defer payment. ... That was not the case, and I deeply regret my failure to fully comply with the tax code," Amodeo said in a statement after issuing a plea in federal court in Orlando.
In 2006, Trump Tower developer SimDag LLC engaged Amodeo to provide more than $200-million to build a 52-story luxury condo tower under license from New York tycoon Donald Trump. The deal fell apart. As part of Amodeo's defense, witnesses said the former financial wizard suffers from a bipolar illness that has left him with delusions of ruling the world.

31 years ago, in 1977, when a group of community clubs got together to put on an event that would provide fun, food and entertainment for the entire community. The FREE flapjacks were offered for the first time in 1983 and the Land O' Lakes Butter Company of Minnesota supplied the butter that year and every year since. Since those small beginnings the festival has grown every year to the point where it has become not only the biggest event in the community, but an event that attracts visitors from surrounding counties and across the country
