Well....time to say good bye to 2008! Hello to 2009!

With interest rates at an exciting position, wonderful first time home buyer programs available..... home owenership is more acheiveable today than we have been experiencing the end of 2008. A quick recap of the Edina housing market gives me confidence that we are on the up side of the down turn! Our Edina Real Estate market closed approximately 368 sigle family homes last year. We had 40 new listings come to market in the month of December. (please note that some of the new listings represent listings that have been on the market prior, and are being reintroduced to the market) This is compared to 32 new listings in November. I hear from clients all the time that they want to wait for Spring market....Real Estate has an early spring market! Don't delay and get lost in the abundance of new listings. Edina Housing Market outlook

Well....where else are we seeing an increase in the average list price of a single family home? Where are we performing at a list to sale price of 94.2%? The Edina housing market has been effected by the turmoil in the national and local economies. I am; however, happy to say it is my opion that we have weathered it better than most. Some Northern suburbs are truly suffering.
