It took over a year and half, but I finally topped the 50,000 point mark on Active Rain. Maybe by the end of the year I will be up to 100,000 with some of my really active, active rain friends. The active rain network is a very powerful vehicle to getting a lot of blog attention. I just hope my competitors in my area don't find out!

Home sales are up in Ashland Oregon and Medford Oregon area. The last 3 months posted more sales in 2009 compared to the same time period in 2008. Although, the median price has not increased, inventory is down. The $8000 first time home buyer credit is working to increase sales activity.

Good news! Sales are up in the Rogue Valley- almost 30% from the same time last year. The number of homes available to buy is down 26%. A few builders are getting courageous and are building spec homes. Median house price is down, but partly because the lower end of the market is selling more than the mid to upper end.

The median price for a East Medford Oregon home sold in March 2009 was $225,000. Down from $240,000 in February.

The number of homes sales in Ashland in March was 17 which was about the same as March 2008. The good news is there are 30 residential pending home sales in Ashland so expect the number of closed sales in April and May to increase.
