On March 4, 2009, over 600 Oregon Realtors attended Realtor Day at the Salem Capitol, and over 60 of these were from the Rogue Valley.
Numbers make a difference in politics, and when a group turns out numbers like we did, legislators receive a powerful message. The legislators from our area had up to forty of their constituents visit them to discuss issues of importance to REALTORS®. That agenda includes advancing important educational reforms and fending off both public and private transfer taxes.
It is also interesting to see how it all works.... Over 6000 bills were dropped last week. Amazing! I recommend that everybody should make a trip to Salem to be heard.

It is the annual membership drive for the Ashland Oregon Chamber of Commerce. It is a great way to meet new people, find out about local businesses, and market yourself. I can almost guarantee that the price you pay for one years will more than come back to you in your business.
We average about 10 direct website referrals a month from the directory on the chamber website. I encourage anyone to call me to talk more about this business opportunity.

Posted below are the 2008 statistics for Jackson County which include Ashland and Medford. The number of existing homes sales fell by 288 units and the median sales price fell 13.5% from $260,000 to $225,000. However, the median price is still up from 2003 when the median price was $175,200.
