This year, I have one listing that will have to be a short sale and we are running out of time before the lender forecloses on the home. Out of curiosity, I asked about this on the Trulia.com website and quickly received an informed answer that gave me some cause to be careful and reflect on the results of getting an offer. The suggestion was that any short sale have an attorney involved to avoid any conflicts between the lender, the seller, the buyer, and the 2 agents. I plan to hold a brokers' open on the home in Rochester on 11/13.
It has been a busy 2 weeks getting in touch with past clients, relisting and extending listings as the football season winds down. With the fall colors and sunny weather, watching my 8th grade son play and win is very enjoyable. Of course there is always time to talk to friends and other parents about the real estate market and remind them that I am an agent.
