Holy toledo!! I am completely psyched!
Here's how it went down...When I first started really paying attention to what was going on with ActiveRain two weeks ago I was asked to help some folks from out of town.
I was skeptical...is this some sort of gimmick?
Is this referral REALLY going to come my way? Then it did (full skepticism still present).
Are these real folks? I talked to them on the phone - they sounded real (skepticism lingering at 34.2%)
Are these people really going to come to San Antonio? They came to San Antonio. (skepticicism nada, zilche, finite)
It happened today! It has been POURING rain all week deep in the heart of Texas. We are talking gata's & perro's (translation: cats & dogs. A little spanish lesson thrown in there - hey, it's the least I can do) but we prevailed through it!
WE (Myself and my ActiveRain referral) saw 5 homes, they chose one, I wrote it up. Groovy!
I was originally just smitten with ActiveRain and wasn't quite sure if it would receive a rose at the most dramatic rose ceremony yet.
I think it is safe to say I am now in Love. I LOVE helping your referrals! Thanks!

Last week my little sister who is in pharmaceutical sales was out with some friends celebrating a work victory. She happened to be wearing some wedge sandals and drinking margaritas (yes, a bit of foreshadowing).
Now these sandals aren't for sissys - these puppies are high (& hard to walk in) but oh, so cute. Since I wasn't present I cannot attest to the quality of the margaritas BUT,
At some point during the celebration she got so excited she jumped up and down.
Well...it just so happened on one of the jumps up - she broke her ankle on the way down. She's pretty tall so it was a long way to the ground (being her older but shorter sister I can say this).
BUT, it is in fact broken.
One moment she's having fun, celebrating the work victory, the next she's on the ground. Party over - eh?
When I heard about it I wondered to myself - when do we get that excited about victories in our jobs - When do we Realtors jump up and down (being over the age of 30) and get sooooo excited about our accomplishments in Real Estate?
In our office we do the happy dance when we get a signed, receipted contract and then we hold our breath. Hold our breath that everything works out during inspect, hold our breath that agreed on repairs are done, hold our breath that we close on time, holding, holding, holding.
We so want everything to turn out well, we want buyers and sellers to be happy and JUMP for joy that they sold their home or now live in the home of their dreams or their "for now" home.
I am a firm believer that excitement breeds success. Continuing to do what you love and have passion for is what is important.
If you can't think of what you are excited for or what you would jump up and down about - you should start thinking about it. Dare to dream & even jump up and down once in awhile about your victories in Real Estate, it's free. Just make sure you have proper footwear.
