Plan to attend the FeBREWary tasting event at Ravens Tavern in Conifer, Colorado. The event will take place on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 4-7PM. Admission will be $15 ea / $25 couple with prepurchased tickets or $20 ea / $30 couple at the door.

You can prepurchase tickets from the Conifer Area Chamber Of Commerce: 303-838-5711. Ravens also has great food so bring your appetite as well as a designated driver!

Every so often something really cool happens and next Tuesday, January 25th, it's going to be happening here in Conifer, Colorado!

I Just learned that at 10AM next Tuesday the Colorado Army National Guard will be landing a big Chinook helicopter at the West Jefferson Elementary School in Aspen Park.This baby is one of the big double rotor machines so it should be pretty impressive. Backwash from the rotors should be substantial.

Once landed, visitors will be allowed access to the helicopter to look around and ask questions. I'm not sure which model it will be but it should be similar to this. The public is invited so come on out if you can. If you do, be sure to get there early to allow time to park & find a vantage point for viewing during landing. The Landing Zone (LZ) will be restricted until after landing and everything is safely shut down. Please respect the LZ and don't try to get too close before they are ready. Also, please respect local merchants and residences by parking legally.

I'm going to do my best to be there but I have an existing appointment that I'm going to try to reschedule. If I can, I will take a bunch of pictures. If not, please take pix & send them to me!

National Association Of Realtors statistics show that the housing market is in recovery, with a 12.3% gain in December, 2010 for single family homes. Condos/townhomes were even higher at 16.4%

Shell gas stations are sponsoring a program that allows you to get 2 ski lift tickets for the price of one, buy one get one free, when you purchase 10 gallons of gasoline. This program runs from the beginning in January, 2011 through April 17, 2011 at participating stations.
