Clothing Drive: I am sponsoring a clothing drive through April 20th. for the non-profit organization Women helping Women if you have any clothes or accessories that you would like to donate please send me a note and I will pick up. It is a great way to help. Tax receipt is available.
Lake Forest Opportunities Study: I attended the community meeting earlier in the week regarding the development that is coming to Portola Hills. Overall there has been a reduction in the amount of development (about 18%) that will be happening in the area and nothing is finalized but they are getting close.
The Portola Center will be built on the vacant land from Oakley up Glen Ranch down towards El Toro on both sides of the street. The proposed development will consist of 930 units, 40,000 Commercial and a 40 acre Sports Park.
The Lake Forest Planning Commission will be holding another public hearing scheduled for 4/24 and June 3rd at the City Council meeting.
Estimated building to start in 2010 but that of course depends on the final approvals and the market!
