It appears that the $8,000 first-time homebuyer tax credit is about to be extended until April 30, 2010. And the legislation may provide a tax credit for some current homeowners.
We'll have to see the final bill, but the most positive thing in this is that the deadline will be contract based with 60 days to close after an April 30th Contract deadline.
HUD released revised North Carolina FHA Loan Limit today. For 2009, FHA loan limits will now be the higher of 2008 limits or new 2009 limits released in late December.
What that means for you? If you are in one of the areas like Raleigh or Wilmington where the 2009 loan limits were decreased your loan limits are now restored to 2008 levels.
Good news for those markets!
