Ken is involved in many community activities in Fuquay Varina. He serves in the Fuquay Varina Kiwanis Club as a member of their Board of Directors as well as the chairman of the membership committee. He also wiorks with Junior Achievement in their middle school financial literacy program.

Also Ken is involved with the Fuquay Varina Chamber of Commerce on both their Ambassador Program and as a member of the Business Builders Committee of the Chamber. He chairs a Business Builders sub-committee focused on putting on a Central Carolina Regional Business Expo in the late Spring of 2010.
