I came across a recent article in Styled Staged and Sold by Realtor Magazine where each Realtor was given $250 and 2 hours to transform a Bedroom, Home Office or Living Room. Upon completion two Stagers, Kala Callahan of Addressed to Selland Lori Matzke of Center Stage Homes offered their critiques of why each Staging worked. Take a look and see for yourself.

Think about it. . . for very little money and some sweat equity, Staging can transform a room and show its liveability.

Realtors, please don't hesitate to consider Staging the next time you list a house. It really can make your work easier.

This was one of my favorite clients who told me from the start "Be brutally honest with me." (I got a great post from this) Room Service Home Staging provided a Staging Consultation and when I returned to make adjustments and take "After" pictures, the results provided me with yet another post for Activerain. He listed it in early September and actually had a contract on it in 3 weeks. Although that fell through, the agent just called me to say the house has been sold! 48 days in Boca Raton Fl, where the average number of days on the market is 193 Days!

So, while in an ideal world, we would have wanted that chartreuse wall painted, the house benefited from having been Staged. Take a look:

Maybe not what you or I would have actually done to Stage the house, but it was an improvement.

I loved the color in here. All that was needed to be done was removing the papers and laptop and turning this back into a dining room.

Decluttering and removing the small throw rugs were all this area needed.

While the photos told a lovely story, it was THEIR story. We wanted to show how this space could be used.

Could it use more furniture? Yes, but at least it now looks like a Family Room.

Working offices are so hard today because of all of the cables and cords, but decluttering has helped.
