Edgar Winters is Back! At the Taste of Edmonds

You are probably eager to sample the different cuisines offered up at the various booths. Maybe order a gyro or a kabob and chase it down with a slice of pizza or maybe a rack of ribs.

Sure, and that is what The Taste is all about.

But were you aware that Edgar Winters is Back!

Edgar Winters is Back!

I didn't even know that he had left, or was ever here before.

Heck, I didn't even know that he was still alive!

Judging from his picture, I'm not sure that he still is. He always did look like he had one foot in the grave even back in the seventies, and I rememeber him really freaking me out when I saw his picture on album covers as a little kid.

As I further peruse the above picture, I'm not so sure that it's not really Chris Elliott in a bad wig warming up for a return to the Late Show with David Letterman.

My thought is this: Is the really the mascot that they want for a festival that celebrates the digestion of mass quantities of food?

Isn't he a little......anorexic looking? I mean, he looks like he hasn't had solid food since he had a hit record.

Which was a LONG TIME AGO.

Edgar (or Chris), mix in a steak with that diet and come back and see us next year.

LFP Commons Farmers Market

LFP Commons Farmers Market

Well, It's almost that time of year:

The sun has been threatening to make it's presence known and melt the grey clouds that have hung over our heads like a cruel, mocking cartoon voice balloon since.........well, since August of '07.

And of course that means that the LFP Commons Farmers Market will surely be here soon.
Beginning May 11th, you can head down to the Lake Forest Park Towne Center and load up on all of the fresh produce, fruits, etc. that you can fit in your mini van and/or SUV.

Those of you with a Prius or Civic Hybrid will not be able to lug as much booty home, but you can smile smugly to yourself that not only did you limit yourself to organic products, but you did not harm the earth during the process, and got 375 miles to the gallon on the way there by coasting down Ballinger in neutral.

Good Times!

To keep on top of what is going on at the Market, you can get Get Fresh-Mail delivered fresh every Friday morning during the season.

You'll get a preview of what‘s new and delicious with recipe links, too.

Just click to send an email message to:

freshmail@thirdplacecommons.org

Hope to see you there!
