Round Rock home sales are still going strong despite the national woes! Home sales price per square foot continues to increase and days on the market are approximately the same as last year. Over all there was a ~4.73% increase in price per square foot for home sales in Round Rock compared to last year. This is strong evidence that prices are continuing to increase in our specific market! That is great news!!

Leander set to build several new elementary schools in the next three years.

Leander ISD Elementary SchoolThe Leander ISD Board of Trustees has adopted new elementary
attendance boundaries beginning in 2008 - 2009, with additional
boundary changes that begin for the 2009 - 2010 school year. The
boundary changes are needed due to the opening of two additional new
LISD elementary campuses each of the next two years.

The Elementary #20 campus site is in the Parkside at Mayfield Ranch,
and is located just north of the Williamson County Park off of
CR175. The Elementary #21 site is located off of Nelson Ranch Road
in the Westside Preserve at Buttercup. These two new campuses will
open this fall.

The LISD school board has designated District-owned land west of
Vista Ridge Blvd. and south of Park Street (near Vista Ridge High
School) as the site of LISD Elementary #22. The Board also announced
that LISD Elementary #23 will be built in the River Dance Phase 4
section of the Steiner Ranch subdivision. These campuses will open
in the fall of 2009.

Approximately 200 LISD parents and community members signed up for
the District's 2007 Elementary Attendance Boundary Committee,
meeting from late October through the first week in December. The
committee's task was to provide recommended school attendance
boundaries that zoned students to these four new campuses and
leveled attendance (as much as practical) at other Leander ISD
elementaries.

The newly adopted attendance boundaries are those presented in
December as the Administrative Recommendation for 2008 - 2009 &
2009 - 2010 Elementary Attendance Boundaries, with one change -
Neighborhood Code 3075 (the back section of Twin Creeks) will be
assigned to attend Cypress Elementary, rather than Deer Creek
Elementary.
