Rick was raised in the small New England town of Milford, New Hampshire and attended New Hampshire Colleges. He holds a degree in both Culinary Arts and Marketing & Management. For several years he worked in the capacity of Operations Manager for Advantage Health Corporation, a large Medical Management and Development company based in Woburn, Massachusetts. The original founder of Advantage Health was "Buddy" Leroux, who was also one of the owners of the Boston Red Sox. Advantage Health Corporation eventually merged with HealthSouth.

Rick relocated with his wife and son to Bradenton, Florida in September 1995 and his career path changed from Commercial Real Estate to Residential Real Estate. He joined a small local real estate company in Lakewood Ranch and helped develop their growth through two brokers from five agents to over eighty agents. In June 2009, Rick moved his business to Wagner Realty. They have the strength, vision and technology to compete in an ever changing real estate market. Rick specializes in new construction and resale homes in Lakewood Ranch and the surrounding communities. A resident of River Club for over 13 years, he understands what a real estate investment should be.
