The old museum at Hershey has closed and a new one called “Hershey Story” is opening. I can’t wait to visit here with my family. I am a total chocoholic and my kids loved the old Hershey museum. I especially look forward to the chocolate tasting.
Dedicated to celebrating the life and legacy of Milton Hershey, this state-of-the-art facility (cost $23.5 million) tells his inspiring journey from failure to fortune using interactive exhibits and hands-on activities.
Upstairs, the Museum Experience (10,000 SF) encourages visitors to explore the town of Hershey through a series of engaging exhibits. A series of exhibits and engaging interactives; examine the “bean to bar” process invented by Mr. Hershey. The exhibits are called: “Failures to Fortunes”, “Sweet Innovations”, “Power of Promotion”, “Hershey Builds Hershey”, and “A Living Legacy”.
Located downstairs at The Hershey Story, the Chocolate Lab combines learning and fun as
guests try their hands at chocolate making, dipping and molding through playful, hands-on experiences. There is a separate admission price and no children under 4 are allowed to participate.
Located on the first floor, Café Zooka is the perfect place to grab a quick bite or enjoy a relaxing meal with friends and family. The menu includes sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and bagels.
Chocolate Tasting is located within Café Zooka, and is available throughout the day, affording guests of The Hershey Story the opportunity to sample warm drinking chocolate from around the world. From fruity African chocolate flavors to Indonesian chocolate with caramel overtones, guests can hone their skills as cocoa connoisseurs or simply enjoy a taste of indulgence from around the world.
