Believe it or not, some buyers are very frustrated with today's market. Because home prices have fallen so low, when a home is priced right for the market, the house is selling at listed price or higher, with buyers getting into bidding wars.
If your a buyer looking to get a bargain from the bank, be prepared to negotiate on their terms and buy the property as is, with no warranty. Besides all this, it is actually a very good time to buy a home - lots of good homes are on the market at very low prices and interest rates are still fairly low too.
"The rise in sales indicates that buyers continue to take advantage of bargains in the marketplace, as the inventory continues to trend upwards, and as more properties with troubled loans contribute to the number of properties for sale,'' said Greg Berkemer, executive vice president of the California Desert Association of Realtors.
