The Geeks Shall Inherit the Turf

vanderbiltNashville - Easily the best sign seen this week in Nashville during the Vanderbilt and Auburn football game. Once again Vanderbilt shows it's amazing ability to come from behind to win. The teamwork is amazing, but not surprising. The balanced offense, great defense, and exceptional special teams make it difficult for other teams to keep an sense of momentum.

Arter being behind 13 -0 in the first quarter, the Vanderbilt defense took the Auburn offense right out of their game. And the Vanderbilt offense score 14 unanswered points to take a lead in the second hal that was never threatened.

Congratualtions to Vanderbilt for maintaining an undefeated season, The press is starting to notice.

The Spring Hill Ham Festival

Every October, The Spring Hill Jam Festival is heldl on the grounds of the Tennessee childrens home with arts, crafts, food, food, and more food. The local Corvette club brings out the boy toys, and the Rotary Club brings out a small train for the little guys. The pig races are different, and fun for the kids. By the way, the weather was a perfect 75 degrees, and low humidity. It was a great day to be outside.

100 percent loans gone? Maybe

Nashville real estate - The days of 100 percent FHA loans are gone for now, and we don't know when they will be back. But something that hasn't gone away is a program by HUD to allow buyers to buy a foreclosed HUD homes with $100 down, and they will pay all of the closing costs.

The only catch is that it has to be a repossed HUD house, and you have to qualify for the loan. It's really a great deal, but the inventory of homes is limited. I've seen several homes discounted 25 percent below the original cost from 2006.

Wades Grove Pool Plans

Spring Hill Place PoolTuesday night John Maher had a meeting for the residents of Wades Grove. The topic of discussion was his proposal to build a swimming facility in Wades Grove. The proposed location is on Katash at the front of the community next to buckner Ln.

  • The appearance of the pool will be similar to the one in Spring Hill Place.
  • The cost of the pool and the pool house $718,000, will be at the expense of John Maher
  • The association dues will increase to $40 per month
  • If approved, the construction of the Wades Grove pool facility will start ASAP, with the hope of opening next summer

wades grove pool plansWith the exception of the residents directly across the street on Katach, we didn't seem to have anyone who was against the plan. When I was asked my opinion on property valuations, I stated that I had several potential buyers decide on other neighborhoods because Wades Grove didn't have a neighborhood. In my opinion it will improve the property values.

Approval of the project will require that both of the letters be signed by the Wades Grove homeowners and sent to the appropriate parties. 90 residents will have to agree to get this done.

Wades Grove is an all brick neighborhood in Spring Hill tn with homes ranging from $205,000 toPool house $400,000. and in size from 1400 square ft to over 4000 square ft. For more information call Larry Brewer at 615-512-7853, or e-mail me at larry@larrybrewer.com.

Bob Corker on the Senate Vote

Bob Corker's interview on CNBC this morning has a lot of good information about the package that the Senate is planning to put to vote today. Bob is a senator from east Tennessee, and the votes from his house counterparts in east Tennessee were all nay. I believe that he would not vote for this bill unless he thought it was good for the general population. Given his background as a very successful business leader, I believe that he knows what he's talking about.
