Furniture & Appliance Bulk Trash Collection
In late August, Frederick County mailed out vouchers to non-municipal county residents for its second annual Residential Bilk Program.
The residents listed on the voucher may use the voucher one time to bring a maximum of four (4) bulk residential items, such as furniture, to the Frederick County Landfill at no charge.
The expiration date is listed on the voucher.
Residents are responsible for transporting their items to the Reich;s Ford Road Sanitary Landfill. However, the resident may assign the voucher to another party, such as a commercial trash hauler, by completing the appropriate area of the form.
Alternatively, you may give the card to a friend or neighbor to bring bulk furniture items to the landfill on your behalf.
A voucher issued to a commercial hauler will allow the hauler a 100-pound tipping fee credit per voucher. Any load in excess of 100-pounds per voucher will be charge the remaining weight ar the current tipping fee.
The voucher has no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash, credit or used to pay existing landfill charges.
White goods (appliances , such as refrigerators, freezers, washers and dryers) are accepted at the Reich's Ford Road Recycling Center year round at NO CHARGE. You DO NOT need a voucher for this.
Motor Oil & Antifreeze Recycling
In cooperation with the Maryland Department of the Environment and local businesses, six motor oil recycling locations are offered within Frederick County for residents to dispose of motor oil and antifreeze in an environmentally safe way. There is a 15-gallon limit per resident per trip.
