Electricity on Cape Cod is only second to Hawaii when it comes to cost. Is it time to put wind turbines in Nantucket Sound to defer this cost. Will people on the Cape actually enjoy the energy savings from the wind turbines or will they sell off the energy to other states? Let me know what you think about Cape Wind and how it may effect our tourist industry.
A great time to be enjoying the Cape.
The off season for the Cape brings alot less traffic, time to socialize and network with your friends and neigbors and gear up for the Holiday Season. It is a great time to reflect on the year and get ready for 2009!!
I received an email from a prospective buyer today who says that he is putting his home search on hold because his business is in flux with the downturn in the economy and he is fearful where the future will take us. I found this to be totally absurd because 1) He is a cash buyer 2) He was looking for an investment property.
I would think with the short sales and foreclosures the rental market is strong and he would do well with an investment property right now rather than leaving his money in say the stock market.
The news stories of the economy have paralyzed buyers and yet when they look back 5 or 10 years from now they are going to wish they bought now - especially with the interest rates being so good.
Have any of you got the sense that fear alone is driving buyers to make irrational decisions?
Let me know.
