Well it has been a while since my last post. Just took a trip to Washinton DC for vacation and family time. Places and Spaces was taken at 30,000 feet during that excursion. I thought it would be a nice post just by itself.
It is always nice to go away even if it is for a short time. The thing I enjoyed most about my trip was dinning. Georgetown has some fabulous restaurants not to mention the shopping. Atlantic seafood and fish is like no other. I ate bluefish, and had atlantic swordfish, just mouth watering. Very upscale and fashion conscious so of course I shopped also. DC weather is very humid compared to the eastbay which is where I am now.
So was it a bit of R & R? Yes it was and we all need that every now and again. I love real estate because you can take that vacation whenever you like. If I had a JOB, I'd have to request the time off.....I really don't think so.
So now it's time to get back to work. The market is slowly buzzing with rates steady, but prices are down, foreclosures are up and the water is just fine. So get in the game, buy a house, or some land, refinance your existing mortgage.
If you cant get in the game, find a new job or career, save, continue your education enjoy your life until you are ready.
Today is a special day that we set aside to honor & recognize all mothers all over the countryside.
It's funny, how we select a DAY to recognize people and events that are important in out lives. It's almost as if the other 364 DAYS in the year we wait for that Special Day to come IN ANTICIPATION OF IT!
Let us never forget, that if it were not for MOMS, NO ONE of us would be here!!!
WHO HERE DOES NOT HAVE a MOM?
We would'nt have comfort food, someone to hug us when we hurt, no one to feed us when we are hungry, no one to tell us we are fine when we don't feel so fine. A MOM keeps everyone and everything in the house your MOST-est Special Place to be in the World!!!!!, she's the nurse when everyone is sick, she finds all that is lost, she makes everything all better no matter how bad it seems.
No matter what, Mom is always there to nurture, to love, to listen, to scold, to kiss and to hug.
Mothers definitely deserve a lifetime of recognition, honor and love for their Unconditional Love and for bringing all of us into this world.
I say when we pray to God, we should be PRAYING TO MOM.
MOTHER'S
EVERYWHERE
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I became a real estate broker after 27 years as a registered nurse. Real estate has always had some fascination for me. As a child my father rented out rooms in various apartments we lived in. My father purchased his first piece of land when I was 17 years old. Before I had a chance to enjoy it or grow something on it he sold for 4 times what he paid for it. So it only made sense that real estate would have a place in my world.
I toiled as a residential sales associate on the east coast, doing rentals and single family new construction. The past 4 years I have been originating loans, buying, selling and renovatiing single family and rental property.
As a nurse I have enjoyed taking meticulous care of people burdened by injury and illness. People make some very difficult desicions when in the hospital and the outcomes are not always desireable. Even with health insurance the expense is great.
Purchasing a home is also one of the biggest desicions and purchases a person may make in their healthy life. In both cases you would want a professional, someone with knowledge and experience. A guide, one who will negotiate, advocate and assist you in the management of your purchase.
Purchasing a home is like a dream come true. A wish, a desire that has maybe been a long time in coming. A home is purchased for the individual, the couple, the kids, the parents, the grand parents, the friends. There will be holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and a host of other memories shared.
Whether you are buying or selling your real estate, refinancing or looking for your first mortgage you will want a professional. Someone who will help and support your obtaining that dream of homeownership.
To help protect yourself and your family during this outbreak, go to the CDC website to view health guidelines, a list of frequently asked questions, and symptoms to watch for. Here is the link http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/ and other helpful information.
If you're concerned that you or a family member has contracted the H1N1 flu
Symptoms of the H1N1 flu are similar to common flu symptoms-coughing, sore throat, body aches, headache, and fatigue. If you experience mild symptoms, stay home from work or school.
However, if you have a fever of more than 102 degrees, you should contact your personal physician as soon as possible. He or she will be able to help determine whether testing or treatment is needed for the H1N1 flu.
If you experience a serious condition that you believe could be an emergency medical condition (either related or unrelated to the H1N1 flu), call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.*
*An emergency medical condition is (1) a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in serious jeopardy to your health or body functions or organs, or (2) active labor when there isn't enough time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery, or if transfer poses a threat to your (or your unborn child's) health and safety.
