A Great Day to Talk About Veterans and Benefits! As the month of November comes to a close and, as this is the month we take special time out to remember our veterans, it seems appropriate to impart some exciting Real Estate news about veterans and benefits.
According to the federal government, the first time consumer home buyer’s tax credit came to a close on April 30 2010. What is little known, is that for veteran and benefits, this first time, $8,000.00 home buyer’s tax credit is extended to April 30. 2011……yes next year!
Of course there are some criteria to take advantage; and this blog-post will describe these criteria. And, let’s not forget the "long-time resident" home buyer. As to veterans and benefits, this up to $6,500.00 tax credit, has also been extended ‘till April 30. 2011……yes, next year!
You must be at least under contract by 04.30.2011 to qualify. What this special rule says is if you.

New Homes at Provence In Glendale By Builder, K. Hovnanian
New Homes In Glendale Arizona is exactly what we found when, on Veteran's Day, we visited 2-new home sites, ‘Avalon and Enclave at Provence' by builder, K. Hovnanian. Four absolutely beautiful new model homes were available to preview and the entire event was catered with gourmet food and wines by Creations in Cuisine Catering.
These new homes in Glendale, (Avalon and Enclave at Provence), are within walking distance of fabulous We
st Gate in Glendale and the University of Phoenix Stadium where all the big concerts and events are happening. You are also close to the 101 & the 10 to access all other parts of the valley very quickly. We hjave included some pictures as a sample.
The Avalon and Enclave at Provence homes are spectacular ranging in size from 1476
sq ft to 2395 sq ft with some outstanding features that are often only found in semi-custom homes (contact Lori Chassé for more details). One feature in particular is the ability to bring the outdoors in (depending on model) with triple sliding glass walls. Absolutely outrageous for luxury homes at this price point!
Another feature we loved was the very creative porcelain flooring tiles manufactured by DalTile. These tiles were stunning in color and texture and a representative from Adams bros Interiors, a provider of DalTile, was available for questions. We were very impressed by the porcelain tile, which seems to be quieter than regular tile. Other features included, snail shower, artificial grass, water features and more (contact Lori Chassé for more details/pictures).
If you missed the Grand Opening of New Homes at Provence in Glendale by builder, K. Hovnanian, do give us a call (+1.623.680.1474) or visit us at lorichasse.com and we would be happy to share this new gated community with you. Looking for a new home? Veterans' Benefits! Regarding our Veterans service.
Today, 11.11.2010, I am reminded that my father served in the Army from 1943 thru 1945; or from 19 years of age thru 21. It’s hard to imagine my father, at that age, fighting for his country’s freedom....our country’s freedom.
Recently I applied for Veterans' Benefits for my mother, who is in assisted living. Many veterans or spouses are not aware of the Dependency and Indemnity Compensation available. For more information, go to: http://www.va.gov .
When I received the military records, it was a copy of a carbon copy. In those days, the only way to make a copy was with carbon paper or a mimeograph machine…..suddenly, I feel old.
Here is a tip for Veterans (or anyone that knows a Veteran) that will be dealt with in more detail in a later post. As an American and an Arizona REALTOR®
all Veterans should be aware that as for Veterans Benefits, the 1st time home buyer $8,000 tax credit has been extended to April 30, 2011. As well, the $6,500 tax credit for Veterans that are previous home buyers is also available thru April 30 2011. Stay tuned for future posts and details on this subject. For more information, contact Lori Chassé.
