When The Saints Go Marching In

I didn't get to enjoy the New Orleans Saints victory for to long this week because of an injury to one the teams top receivers. I saw yesterday on ESPN that he want be marching into Washington this weekend when the team takes on the Redskins. He most likely want be marching for 4 to 6 weeks which is going to be tough but I think the team has some wideouts who can step up and fill in the gap. The NFC looks like it might be stronger than I expected this year and will be fun to watch and I think the Saints who have improved on defense can compete with anybody and make a deep playoff run. Don't worry Marcus the team will hold it down while you are out!

Rich or Not

It was December 07 Big Blue was heading into a bowl game against the heavy favorite Florida Gators. But what most didn't know unless you were a fan of the Big Blue is that they were loaded on office and they were healthy. Long story short Michigan beat Florida pretty good in there own state which made it a home game for them. Les go back a few weeks or not. I was happy to hear that Michigan had hired Les Miles a Michigan man who knew the program and how to win only to find out it wasn't true. Then possible candidates names began to swirl around and the name Rich Rodriguez came up and I saying no way. Here is a team that runs a pro-style offense talking about hiring a run heavy spread offensive coach. Next the unthinkable happened Rich was announced as the next head coach of my beloved wolverines. Trouble began to follow almost immediately when accusations arose of Rich destroying player files and owing his former team West Virginia $4 million dollars. Now the most winning football program ever and one of the cleanest was in the news for all the wrong things. The new coach meets with the team and after the meeting two good receivers bolt to the NFL, top rated qb transfers, and a talented offensive lineman transfers to of all places The Ohio State. Did they knew what I was thinking all along that Rich wouldn't have them in his offensive scheme or that he wouldn't adjust to the talent he would have. Well the first game was last week and needless to say things went just like I thought they would he chose to run a offense that he has no players with the talent it takes to run that style offense. This guy till thinks he is a West Virginia with his talented running QB Pat White but he needs to wake up and smell the roses (he probably don't know anything about the rose bowl). The qb's he has may be ok passers with work but they will never be runners (no speed) but that's ok just run the pro-style offense which everyone on the team was recruited for and win some games like Big Blue is used to. As a fan I'm very disappointed and I really feel for those players who committed to UM and the pro-style offense that they knew would highlight there talent and they would be successful in that offense. There should be a clause in an athletes scholarship that says if there is a change in head coach during there stay at a school not only can they transfer but would be allowed to play immediately and not have to sit out a year. I really think the guy can be successful at UM once he gets recruits that can run his style offense but he should wait till next year to run it. If he don't get things turned around quick he may just well be back in the news for all the wrong reasons again such as losing the little brown jug (if he knows what that is), losing to The Ohio State, and biggest of them all no bowl for the program with the longest bowl streak. Congrads Rich and right now the answer is yes for your pocket (UM footed a big chunk of his buyout) but a big NOT for your game plan this season. Please make me eat my words in my next blog on UM. Thank!

Las Vegas

I was on a fellow KW agent website and saw this picture and I just had to use it. I was in Las Vegas back in July for the first time and I really enjoyed it. My wife said it was the best vacation she every had. There is so much to do and so many attractions to see and visit. If you have not been yet you may want to put Las Vegas on your calendar for vacation. I look forward to going back!

P.s. What happens in Vegas, your money stays Vegas!
