Stove Top Potpourri
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
2 cinnamon sticks broken up
15-20 cloves
water just to cover.
Place all ingredients in a simmer pot and gently simmer. Never leave a simmer pot unattended and check periodically for the water level to be sure that the ingredients are not drying out.
My mom 
had bought me the cutest simmer pot for Christmas a few years ago that was from Claire Burke and it came with a bottle of simmering oil. While I absolutely adore Claire Burke products I found the natural potpourri recipe that my mom attached even better! I hope you enjoy as well!

Wake Forest NC has a new park and it is GORGEOUS! E. Carroll Joyner Park opened in August of this year and is quite a place to visit!
E. Carroll Joyner Park has over 117 acres or rolling landscape with many attractions!
Just a few of the features of Phase I of the park are:
Starting in the Spring of 2010 the ever popular series "Six Sundays in Spring" will move from it's current location to E. Carroll Joyner Park! The 1000 lawnseat ampitheatre with be the perfect venue for this event.
The performance area and garden will also serve double duty as it can hold approximately 150 people and will be used for pre-concert activites, poetry readings, small instramental groups and even storytelling!
While E. Carroll Joyner Park has been open to the public since August there will be an official Grand Opening on Sunday, October 4 from 2pm - 5pm. The featured band will be The Swang Brothers preforming at 3pm. The Swang Brothers are a local band that hails from Carrboro, NC and their musical influences include Dean Martin, Chet Atkins, Elvis, and Conway Twitty to name just a few!
