Kidz-n-Biz Project
Helping children is a big part of giving back to our community. This summer business owners in the Chino Valley have a great opportunity to participate with the “Summertime Kidz-n-Biz Project.” This project is designed to help children from the third grade to the eight grade.
For a period of 13 weeks this summer, The Kidz-n-Biz Project will be helping children through an instruction and mentoring program that will assist the children as they are working in their own businesses. Local business owners will be volunteering their time to instruct and mentor these entrepreneurial spirited children.
Each child that plans to participate will of course have to have permission from their parents. Each child will also submit a one page business plan for their summertime business and commit to attend instruction sessions according the prescribed schedule.
Some of the areas of instruction and mentoring will be:
*Understanding the use of money *How to market effectively
*What it takes to be a good sales person *Why customer service is important
*Adding value to to their product or service *Why it is important to give back
*The responsibilities of being in business *The importance of keeping good records
These are just a few of the instructional components of the program. For 90 days starting June 2, 2008 – August 30, 2008 the participating children will be working in their own businesses and receiving instruction, mentoring and being held accountable to their business plan.
As an added incentive for the children that participate we are offering cash, prizes and gift certificates periodically during the summer. At the conclusion of the project we are offering a grand prize of $500 to the top winner, $300 to the second place winner and $200 to the third place winner in three different grade categories.
This is where we could use your help. We are in need of business sponsors in the following categories:
3 Platinum Sponsors: $500 (cash or gift certificate)
3 Gold Sponsors: $300 (cash or gift certificate)
3 Silver Sponsors: $200 (cash or gift certificate)
Kidz-n-Biz Sponsors: Contributions of any amount
Will you consider supporting this wonderful project. It will be a great opportunity to introduce our young children to the value and responsibility of being in business for themselves. Our hope is to ignite a spark that will last a lifetime.

Starting over every year, that's what most of us do. We set our goals and sometimes we make it and sometimes we don't. No matter what the situation, we start over and most of us start with nothing. Most everybody starts each year off at the same place chasing a similar dream.
Wouldn't it be great if you were able to start off the year with 25% of the income you earned the previous year. Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about.
Just an example
Year 1 - you earn $100,000
Year 2 - you start off with $25,000+ you earn $100,000 again = $125,000
Year 3 - you start off with $50,000 + you earn $100,000 again = $150,000
Year 4 - you start off with $75,000 + you earn $100,000 again = $175,000
Year 5 -you start off with $100,000 + you earn $100,000 again = $200,000
Year 6 - you do nothing but you still earn $100,000
Year 7 - you do nothing but you still earn $100,000
Year 8 - you do nothing but you still earn $100,000
This is the power of residual income. If we continued to get paid on every sale we made life would be great. Unfortunately that only happens in a few fields. Think about it. Your local cable company offer subscriptions they get paid on year after year. But better than that they are continually adding to their membership. So using our example above (of course their numbers are bigger) you can see how they get paid on renewals as well as new business which will renew plus more new business which will renew.
Recently I hear a fellow named Mark Yarnell talk about "principaless interest." It's basically the concept of residual income with a proprietary product or service. Instead of earning the $1,000,000 to put in the bank to get $100,000 a year, provide the masses a product or service tied to a membership that's renewable.
Of course for most of us this is just a dream. Being committed to what we know won't allow us to venture into new ways of doing things. I am convinced that there will be more multi-millionaires developed with this system than any other investment formula. I say this because the risk factor is taken away because of the low cost of memberships and the desire for the masses to have memberships. Just think of the memberships you have right now...
By now you know I think outside the box. Love to hear your comments.
Cheerfully enjoying residual income,
Ced
On Sunday I was driving home and as customary I entered the left hand turn lane to make a left turn to enter my driveway. The difference on Sunday was there was an orange cone about 18 inches inside the left hand turn lane. A police officer was directing traffic as a clean up crew was just finishing up sweeping.
I don't know what I was thinking (I probably wasn't thinking) but I chose to enter between the cones (bad move Cedric) and wait in the left hand turn lane for the officer to give me the OK when to turn left. But nooooooo. There was another officer sitting in his vehicle that flashed his lights and hit his siren. I really didn't have a clue what he was doing. He got out of the car and was headed my direction. I still didn't have a clue. When he got to my window and motioned for me to roll down my window something told me I must have done something wrong (go figure).
I found out right away that I did something wrong. He asked me what I was doing. I politely said I was waiting to make a left hand turn. I can't tell you the additional terminology he used but entering the cones was a traffic violation when I finally understood what he was saying. What could I say? I did enter the cones.
What would you have done? Here's what I did. I asked the officer if I could call my attorney because I wanted to make sure he didn't violate my rights. He said go ahead. I did and actually it was good for me (to get calmed down) because by this time I was a little bit frustrated with this somewhat snotty officer. As I was talking with my attorney, his attitude did begin to change quite a bit. I thank God for my Legal Shield service. It allows me access to an attorney 24 hours a day if I'm ever detained by a law enforcement officer.
Here's the deal. I got a ticket. I didn't know if I could really beat it or not so I called my attorney Monday morning and received consultation. He let me know that it would be pretty hard. The advice he gave me since I have a good driving record was to just pay the ticket and opt to go to traffic school. Even though I will pay the ticket, I again am thankful for my Prepaid Legal membership. It allows me to get legal consultation about legal matters I'm not sure about.
To be on the phone with an attorney can cost quite a bit. I didn't have to worry about the cost because my membership takes care of times when I'm detained and in need of consultation. The moral of the story is it's better not to get traffic tickets but if you do be sure to have a Prepaid Legal membership. I didn't have any intention of doing something stupid on Sunday but I did.
Kingdom Conferences are happening all over the world. It not by coincidence that God has men and women focusing on preaching and teaching about the Kingdom of God. Believers are in a pivotal time in history where we need to be the difference makers.
There is no other way for us to see any change in our cities if we don't or won't receive what God is doing today. Of course the message of the Kingdom of God isn't new. God established it long before any of us were born. The point is that if it was important enough for Jesus to preach and have the Father send us the Holy Spirit, it must be important today. The Holy Spirit is tugging at the purse strings of our hearts to say what Jesus said and do what Jesus did. After all the Holy Spirit's role in the earth is to testify of Jesus.
I want you to consider joining me and others as we point out the Realities of the Kingdom during CentrePoint's 1st ever Kingdom Realities Conference. It will start Saturday May 31, 2008 - Mon June 2, 2008. You'll never be the same once you discover what God truly had in mind for you as a citizen of His Kingdom. Be on the lookout for future blog posts regarding Kingdom Realities. In the mean time here's another teaching time with Dr. Myles Monroe.

Here are reasons 71-75 of the 101 reasons for having a Life Events Legal Plan.

If nothing else it is a reinforcement of why you believe in what you do. Actually seeing the reasons written out solidifies in our hearts the why we chose the profession we are in. Take a stab at it for your business. If nothing else it will be an exercise in determining how you'll listen to people the future.
It's good to know that there are so many reasons people use you and the services you offer. How are you coming along naming the 101 reasons people use your service?Be on the lookout for 76-80 on a future blog post.
