Elder Care Consultant In Monterey County

ELDER CARE CONSULTANT IN MONTEREY COUNTY SHIRLEY KIATTA, RN

There comes a time in all of our lives when we notice that our aging parent or grandparent is no longer able to care for themselves. I went through this with my own Grandmother.

Angie Vermi The once vital, fiercely independent woman was not functioning at the high level she once was. I was taking her grocery shopping, helping her pay her bills, getting her to Dr. appts. It was overwhelming..what to do? The day I went to her house and she had burning food on the stove and a buffet set up for her dog, I packed a suitcase, took her home with me and said, that's it, she can not live alone anymore. My Mom took over after a few months and kept my Grandmother with her until she passed away at 93. It was very hard for my mother, as she also is alone and not so healthy. The experience of taking care of her mother took a toll on her health.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE AN ELDER CARE CONSULTANT LIKE SHIRLEY KIATTA, RN COULD HAVE MADE ON BOTH OF THEIR LIVES.

SUCCESFUL Selling of Your Monterey County Home

  • The greatest hindrance to the sale of a home can be a seller who is seized by emotion. Home sellers who allow emotions and sentimental attachments to overtake them during the sales process run the risk of making hasty, sometimes poor decisions. Sometimes you may lose a good buyer because you are stuck on price. mONTEREY hOMES fOR SALE

Most of us are emotional about our home. We bought it with emotion, we love it with emotion, we know all of the time, effort and money we have put into it.. we remember bringing our kids home from the hospital, birthdays, Christmas...painting that room...re-model on the kitchen... Now, we want to sell it. How to have a successful sale depends upon you THE SELLER.

Price it right and follow these simple rules for a successful sale of your Monterey County Home:

  • DO NOT overprice the property. HOW MUCH IS MY HOME WORTH? You must price is at fair market value. Many homes are getting multiple offers over asking price when the price is lower than most comps. Don't be afraid to price under market..you may be surprised, as it creates excitement, gets your property lots of activity and gets it sold quickly.
  • Getting top dollar is the dream of every home seller, but getting a buyer to pay a premium for features that are valuable only to the seller is closer to a fantasy.
  • Having Too much clutter is going to confuse a buyer. When you decide to sell, take down personal pictures, clean out closets, have a garage sale and get rid of things you no longer use.
  • You want the house to look like a blank slate ready for the new owner to put their personal stamp on. Help the buyer to imagine their own stuff in their new house.
  • Pet Odors, pets on the premises... be mindful of this note.
  • LEAVE Nothing I mean NOTHING kills a sale more than to have the owner lurking around the house...people feel like they are intruding and don't really look...they just want to get out of YOUR house.
  • Clean the bathroom and Kitchen make them sparkle. Nice Bathrooms and Kitchens are huge selling points. Clean out all of the waste baskets, put everything away, clean the mirrors...Kitchen...all I can say SPARKLE. Small things make a huge difference.

  • Sellers who bought at the top of the market likely won’t see that same price from today’s buyers. But here is the good news: It is all relative, you sell a little lower, and you buy lower, take advantage of great interest rates and you are ahead of the game. Do you want to keep paying 6% interest on a house that is worth less than when you bought it? or 4% on a house at fair market, where you are paying more principle, and you will have more equity in 5 years...
