For Sale By Owner, For Lease By Owner?

Why? For what it will cost you to hire a Professional, Why do it yourself? I've noticed more sellers getting weak at the knees and loosing money on the sale or lease of their properties because of their fear of loss. It's never a good to be in the position of the the principal of the deal because your word is so final. An good agent always has an out and the experience to save the deal or hold the gross. I have a deal for my clients. If they Procure the tenant or buyer, I'll handle the sale or lease for half the fee! Anything short of them putting a sign up next to mine is fine with me. As long as there is no question of who procured the prospect. It rarely happens but I always extend the invitation for them to spend their money and make our common goal to lease or sell more public. The bigger the net, the better the odds! Like I said, it rarely happens.

Complaining agents

I've noticed that many of the agents that are complaining about not making money share many of the same traits. For Example;Going to breakfast and doing the coffee house thing in the morning and showing up at the office sometime between 9:30 to 10:30, taking an Hour lunch, standing around talking about how bad things are, and going home at five PM as they watch the second hand fall. This is a job folks! For me it is, anyway! This is how I make a living and I know one fact, even in a slow market! If you work, You produce! True! I work twice as hard for half the money but when this market turns, it will pay! I have the inventory, I market my listings, I answer my phone, and I keep my appointments! Try it! If you are an agent with five to ten listings you probably have over a Million Dollars worth of inventory! You have been trusted with tremendous value from people that believe that they hired a professional to work for them. ARE YOU? Are you working for them or do you think that the market is so bad that it is a waste of your time? There are agents that are doing well in this market and if you hone your skills now, when it turns, you will be a top producer. Work habits are the key! Give this business a full eight hours a day and you should get the results that you deserve. I answer my phone almost anytime it rings because it is my lifeline to this business! Nothing sounds more ignorant to me than an agent telling me that they didn't feel like answering the phone. I've seen some real expensive phone calls missed by agents. I know of one that cost an agent a $43,000 commission. Lesson learned!

I was prompted to write this because of a few agents that fit this description and I keep wondering why they don't just give up and go work for Wal Mart or Dillards.

This is a business of opportunity!
