I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Imagine, having to set aside a day to say thank you. Ponder what miracles could happen if we made every day a day of thanks. If we took the time to be thankful for just the fact that we are alive and faced with so many wonderful opportunities to make a difference.

Let's form a Thanksgiving day resolution that every day we will take time today to say thank you and express our appreciation to those people we treasure. That we thank at least one friend, customer, and associates for the contribution that they make to our lives.

Question: How often do you actually express your gratitude. Do you thank a new client for their business, what about your long-term clients?

Thought For Today: The Power of Gratitude

According to the Secret (law of attraction) we attract whatever we are feeling, whether it be love, fear, anger, happiness, anger, joy, gratitude, resistance etc. We attract events, conditions and circumstances which are in direct correlation to what you are feeling. This works both ways, when we worry or are fearful, we attract more of what we are worried about. If you dig deeper into the secret you will find that the most effective emotion for attracting what we want out of life is gratitude. Being, expressing and focusing those things that we have to be thankful for, attracts more of the same. I believe that if we take the time to count our blessings every day, we can only attract more blessing. If I'm wrong, at the very leaste we will go about our day feeling fantatic.

Question: When was the last time you really examined all that you have to be thankful for? Do you believe that what we send out is what we get back? If so, what are you sending out?

Thought For Today: Kindness!

According to Albert Schweitzer, constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate. Think about the last time someone went out of their way to do some small act of kindness for you, an uplifting phone call, a quick note of encouragement, a business referral. How did that make you feel? Now what about the last time you did a kind act for someone else, how did that make you feel? If your like most, you probably felt great. We cannot do a true act of kindness, one from the heart, without feeing good. In fact, the giver almost always benefits more.

Question: When was the last time you did a small act of kindness, an uplifting note, a compliment, listening to a friend who needs to talk? How did that make you feel? What small acts of kindness can you do today, tomorrow, the next day, etc....

I was thinking about a quote by Maya Angelou: “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” What a powerful thought. Imagine what could happen to our business and personal life, if we spent our time helping others feel good, rather than looking for ways to build ourselves up at their expense. This quote reminded me of another rule for creating lasting and profitable relationships, and that is to try to have every person we come into contact with say I like me better when I'm with you. Powerful. Have a wonderful week. Go out and make someone feel special.

Thought For Today: Attitude is a Choice! Being positive or being negative is very much a habit of thought. Start today to examine your thoughts and determine which direction they are taking you. Replace your negative habits with positive ones by training your mind to think in terms of what you can and will accomplish.

Look for the opportunity that every challenge brings and focus on the opportunity. Count your blessings every day and soon being negative will be a thing of the past.

Question: Do you believe that being positive and being negative are choices that we make about how we will react to life? If so, what choices have you made and what is the result of those choices?
