Yes, there are decent single family homes under $200K in Connecticut! Torrington has many homes in great neighborhoods that are under $200K, perfect for that 1st time home buyer! Torrington also has many upscale neighborhoods with home prices into the $400's. Torrington is commutable to Farmington, Hartford, Waterbury, Shelton and yes I know a few that go all the way to Danbury. There are also many condo complexes to choose from, even some 1 bedrooms as low as $100K. It's an affordable area with some great shopping and many things to do. Ski Sundown is close by, hiking is several state parks, Torrington Twisters baseball, concerts on the green and countless other happenings. Too many restaurants to mention! We have the Warner Theatre, a brand new Target, along with several other chain stores. Our own art gallery that supports local artists and a great community college located just 1 town in Winsted (another affordable community).
