Blue Ridge Lake Real Estate - Blue Ridge GA.  This is a 3,300 acre lake with a picturesque mountain and lake combination.  About 80 percent of the lake's shoreline is a part of Chattahoochee Nation Forest and is managed by Forest Service.

Blue Ridge Lake is located in Blue Ridge GA.  Blue Ridge GA is one of the first mountain communities you would come across when heading north up from Florida which makes it a very popular destination for people coming from Florida.  Being about 93 miles North of Atlanta it is also a nice weekend getaway for those in the city.   There is a large second home market here. Blue Ridge is a quaint little town nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains.  It is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle and just get back to the simpler things in life. 

 

 

 

 

Blue Ridge Lake has several boat ramps and campsites.  Morganton Point has a public swimming area and boat ramp and a campground.  There is one Marina on the lake.  It has a place to get gas, a little restaurant and they also sell boats, jet-skis and accessories.

 

 

 

I am a native of Blue Ridge and I actually grew up on the lake.  Blue Ridge Lake very serene and beautiful to look at but it is also a lot of fun to go play on.  In the summer it is nice to just go cruise the lake, or get behind a boat on a wake-board, ski's or inter-tube.  Right now I favor wake-boarding but I'm still learning.  That's me in the picture to the left from last summer.  I've gotten to where I can get up every time and I can cross the wake with ease but not quite comfortable with jumping the wake yet.  I'll get there!
