The interesting thing about handing a camera to a 6 year old is seeing what your child sees. I picked a large target for him to practice with on purpose. Noah did a pretty good job. He enjoyed aiming out of the car window and capturing life on a drive by. Tomorrow we're going to visit the park and give him a serious challenge. Trying to keep Stephen the Minion Blur in range of the auto-focus. Noah prefers hand held, but I hope to eventually have him migrate to the tripod.
Citi Field should be opening sometime this year. It will be interesting to see if the workers will have Shea Stadium dismantled for April 2009. Here is a little Shea Stadium demolition update through the eyes of a child. We will be back later on to keep you updated on their progress.
Tomorrow's video: Snow, Ice and The Uni-Sphere in Flushing Meadow Park.
Little Minion TV (The Mind Of Minion. M.C.N.S.Starr)
We posted our first commercial in cyberspace with this tag line: "The little minions host fun, cool, think and do tours of New York City neighborhoods and Team Blog about their adventures on the Active Rain Real Estate Network and Localism."
We set up our YouTube channel and are editing some video the kids took. We have to set up our LittleMinionTV.com website next. That should be very interesting. This is our first working concept of how we want to open the on-line show. Then we will roll with the neighborhood segments, going hyper-local.

We are working on creating a new Team Outside Blog. Active Rain has created some very cool and useful new features that will allow us to produce and syndicate original content together for our collective writing projects.
We have 7 AR Mommy Bloggers and 3 non-writers (tech geeks) coming on board to produce some very unique creations that may also open up major opportunities for our new brand. We will be blogging for several causes near and dear to our hearts inclusive of fighting (1) Hunger, (2) Cancer, (3) Autism, (4) PDD-NOS, (5) Graves Disease and (6) Diabetes. It is going to take a lot of work, but will be well worth the effort in the end. We are looking forward to making good use of the Active Rain platform and also plan to have lots of fun showcasing interesting businesses that provide fun, family neighborhood spots for people to enjoy while periodically conducting real estate interviews of our favorite industry experts.
Our kids have taken an interest in social media and what we do for a living. They see us blogging, skyping, reading e-mail, posting in Facebook and quipping with Tweet-peeps. It lead to several interesting conversations and a single question: Why not give them a safe place to play while teaching them what we do with our social media work and playtime by making them a part of the process? Imagine putting a Sony Handycam and Nikon camera in the hands of a 10, 2.8 and 6.11 year old. There is nothing like a tripod to give a child the equal opportunity to "push the button" on an auto-focus device and digitally film what ever they want. It will be interesting to see life through their point of view. We will be helping our kids out, of course, but we're putting the kids in charge and letting them select their subjects from predetermined photo arrays.
The next time we post, you will see what they see. We will share a few moments out of our day when we travel to fun places to have play dates with other families or just some of our favorite little, medium and big minions moments on our own. Our kids are going to be hosting community walks to famous landmarks, interesting parks and other recreational places in New York City, not to mention sharing some favorite places to dine. We will be teaching them about the museums and galleries, statutes and plaques scattered throughout the city.
We Mommy Bloggers will be filming with them and doing the bulk of the editing, however, Little Minion TV is created for little minions, by little minions and their blogging moms to share what interests us. You never know what you are going to get until we give it to you. Our little people are the next generation of real estate owners, so we will be taking them out on RE projects as well. Some of our real estate picks and neighborhoods to showcase may surprise you. Come hang out with us and see how we have fun with our mini-Realtors in training while we deal with life issues and help bring attention to some of our favorite causes.
Little Minion TV: Fun, cool think and do coming to a neighborhood near you on the Active Rain Real Estate Network.
Discover just how much creating Team Blogs can be fun.
Thank you, Active Rain. :-)
