Thousand flock to San Diego every year for the annual Bird Festival. This year the event is March 3rd- 6th and is on San Diego Mission Bay. Because of San Diego's varied habitat more than 500 species of birds can be seen during this time of the year. Birds range from desert bird, mountain birds, woodland birds as well as sea birds.
There are few places in North America where this many species of birds can be seen at one time. For up to date info on this event go to the San Diego Audubon Society's website.
