Located east of Downtown Pittsburgh and right on the city's border, the neighborhood of Regent Square is a compact, walkable community with the appeal of a small town and the sophisticated amenities of a big city. Regent Square real estate appeals strongly to families, as well as to young professionals and students. Both the Carnegie Mellon University, Chatham University and the University of Pittsburgh are located close by. Regent Square is on the city's border, east of Downtown, and is surrounded by Point Breeze, Squirrel Hill, and Swisshelm Park. The neighborhood has easy access to the Parkway East, as well as Braddock and Forbes Avenues.
The neighborhood's proximity to parks, especially Frick Park and an interesting commercial area add to its appeal. It's also just a few blocks from the restaurants and shops at Edgewood Towne Center.
Though easily accessible from Downtown and nearby neighborhoods, Regent Square has a village-like feel, due to its being bordered by the 600-acre Frick Park to the west. Its many trees also give Regent Square real estate a park-like setting. Homes here are located in tree-lined streets and are generally built closely together, promoting a front-porch, charming sense of community.
The neighborhood's commercial center is located along South Braddock Avenue and extends for approximately two blocks. The area, which features a mix of shops, cafés, restaurants and venues like the Regent Square Theater, can easily be explored on foot, which adds to its appeal.
Regent Square real estate is predominantly made up of spacious family homes, though there are also town homes and loft living available. Regent Square is truly a fantastic community with homes to fit many different needs.

Environmental Store Open Week
of Earth Day
The reSOLUTION shop at Fifth Avenue Place was such a success during last year's Earth Day celebration, they are opening it again this year from April 20 - 24. Last year, the store collected more than 900 items in over 4 days and this year, they hope to increase drive total by 20 percent.
The environmental store will collect denim, athletic shoes, cell phones, used CDs and DVDs, old art supplies, eyeglasses and more. The collected items will be donated or recycled. Consumers are encouraged to drop-off their items from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. For more information, visit www.fifthavenueplacepa.com.
