The Chandler Leadership Institute is a unique on-site, hands-on training program featuring presentations, tours, discussions and exposure to critical issues facing Chandler in areas such as:

  • Education
  • Government
  • Public Safety
  • Social services
  • Health
  • Life-Leisure
  • Transportation/Environment
  • Media
  • Business/Industry

Issue Days are currently going on the third Friday of every month from 7:45AM to 3:00PM. To be eligible, participants must live or do business in Chandler. There is a selection process. Usually 25 applicants are selected each year. Orientation begins each January. Attendance points are earned and participants are limited to no more than 2 absences.

The cost of the program is $500 and it is non-refundable.

The Chandler Leadership graduates become members of the Steering Committee that plans the Issue Days for the incoming class.

Chandler Ostrich Festival - Same weekend each and every year~

The Chandler Ostrich Festival each year tends to be on the first weekend of the Chandler Unified School District's Spring Break.

This year the Ostrich Festival is from Friday, March 9 through Sunday, March 11, 2012.

Market Trends Report 2012 - Dobson Place

Despite being surrounded by some top notch schools, Dobson Place home sales remain relatively low. On average there are 11 - 17 listings in Dobson Place in any one month. The sales remaining relatively low is based on several factors. One is that the length of time that short sales are still taking. Another is that many of the foreclosure dates are being extended further out even though the home remains vacant. Gilbert Arizona Real Estate Report January 2012 Single Family Homes Sold Report

Gilbert, Arizona had an estimated 276 single family detached homes sell from January 1 to January 31, 2012.

In January 2011 there were slightly more sales with 331 homes selling.

If the active inventory was higher there is a good chance that the number of sold homes in Gilbert would have been higher in January 2012.Currently, we have a demand which appears greater than the supply.

Throughout the Phoenix metro area, in January 2011 there were 43057 active listings. In January 2012 we reduced to 24986 active listings. Chart below demonstrates how our total number of active listings has been decreasing steadily since November/December 2010.

With interest rates at all time lows, buyers can take advantage of some wonderful single family homes in a great city such as Gilbert, AZ.
