Some more highlights from Seattle's Raincamp ~ the People!!! Here are some snapshots of some special people...:-)
I have to start with my buddies below who drove down to Seattle with me - especially Scott who did the driving in his yummy BMW.....(what was the model again? lol) Oh he tells me its his BMW 750 LI and mid life crisis car...vroom! :-)
My driving buddies ~ Scott Leaf, Darrell Backen and Sean Jordon from Keller Williams Elite in Port Coquitlam, B.C.
Also I have to thank Scott for inviting me to come in with him - because believe it or not I missed the announcements of the event! (how does that happen?) Darrell and Sean are relatively new to Active Rain - so I'm sure this lit their fire - do check out their blogs and say hi!
What a fabulous setting eh? Looks just a little wispy and surreal...Seattle is such a beautiful city - not unlike Vancouver in Many ways!
These are the things I noticed....right of the bat when we arrived. The moment we walked in..There were the 'guys'(look below) to give us a hi and hello and welcome hug! It was like reuniting with family that you'd never met before! :-)
Brad Andersohn Bob Stewart Ben Kinney
Hey! It was the THREE B'S! :-)
Ok. Well Ben Kinney didn't give me a hug - but he did say hi, :-)(Did you know he was one of the director's of Active Rain?
Now where was Rich Jacobsen? Hmmm I heard he was around but I didn't see him....and what about Jonathan Washburn? hmmm
Oh welll...:-) Next there was the Success Blogging Panel...........you can see the list on the screen behind them....and I'd invite you to check out their posts....because they're all pretty darn successful and amazing A/R bloggers~!
The adorable Courtney Cooper....from Seattle..holding the mike; Rhonda Porter.(2nd from the left)..Jim Reppond - yikes I couldn't find his A/Rblog......does have one? :-) and Jo Soss on the right!
Then we all headed out for a lunch break......and I was lucky enough to have it with The Fabulously Fun Inspectors Charles Buell ~ and Steve L. Smith from Bellingham and Seattle respectively...(ooops I got it backwards its the other way around! lol....oh and we can't forget.....Nutsy - but for some strange reason they left him behind :-(

Also met and had lunch with the fabulous up and coming newcomer Sherry Siegel (you absolutely have to check out her blog - you'll love it!

We had a great lunch on the Pier with this crazy insane wild fantastic waitress called K8 waitress - Charles I'm expecting you to post that video of her 'jig'...:-)
I know its a crapola quality photo but this is the wonderful group of people working at A/R behind the scenes! Pretty amazing eh? I had no idea there were so many and yet I understand its like 1/2 of what it takes to run most other Real Estate Networks! Now where is the fabulous Claire C I say? Hmmm me thinks they still have her slaving out at the front desk.........but pssss.......here's her photo!

You know what I loved the most? The Passion! I love how passionate these guys were about what they were sharing and teaching! It was a sight to behold!

Vancouver has once again been named one of the best cities in the world to live in, and is the top Canadian city for men to call home, according to AskMen's Top 29 Best Cities To Live In list. AskMen compiled the rankings based on a myriad of factors like the rate of employment in the city, how many single, college-educated women live there, how late pubs and bars are open, and even the cost of a pint of beer.

Vancouver comes in at number 11, while Toronto and Montreal take spots 15 and 20, respectively. Vancouver was chosen for its "temperate climate, tolerant sociocultural environment, cleanliness, and economy," also scoring points for its beautiful natural scenery, recreational options and of course the upcoming 2010 Olympics. See Vancouver's results here.
Chicago took first place on this year's list for its abundance of both cultural and professional sporting , events, a vibrant entertainment scene and world famous pizza, Italian beef and hot dogs. Maybe that will compensate for not getting the Olympics? Hmm I doubt it.....Barcelona, San Francisco, London, and Sydney rounded out the top five. See all results here.
There you have it.... Sorry we don't have a list of the most livable places for the ladies, but the good news is that maybe soon we'll have an influx of eligible guys relocating to Vancouver, and then I won't have to move to Toronto :)
