Do you need a home?
Of course you do! Everyone needs a home. And even if you're technically not "homeless" right now, there are still many reasons you may need to buy a house.
"Why would I possibly want to buy a home in this economic climate?" you may be asking yourself.
There's no better time than now to start looking. Interest rates are still low and home prices couldn't be better.

1. Are you tired of renting? Do you cringe every time you give your landlord that monthly rent check? Want to pay that money on something that you own?
2. Is your lease expiring? Rent going up? Don't want to be tied down to the same rental with the same noisy neighbors and same problems for another year?

4. Are you finally ready to move to North Carolina? Have you been thinking about a move here for a while, but kept "waiting" for a better time? Now is a good time!

5. Do you want to use that $8000 Tax Credit before time runs out? December 1, 2009 is the deadline for First Time Home Buyers to get a tax credit from Uncle Sam for up to $8000.

6. Is your house too small? Have an addition to your family? Or just need room for all of your "stuff?"

7. Maybe your House is too large? Are your children leaving home? Marriage breaking up? Or just tired of paying for all that unused space?
What's your reason for wanting to buy a home now?

Just read a great blog written by a friend that talked about CareerBuilders list of the top 10 most stressful jobs. While the blog was very well written, I disagree strongly about the jobs that they considered the most stressful.
Administrative Assistants were listed as the #1 most stressful job. Really, because your boss may be asking you to make a copy while you're also answering the phone? And that's considered stressful?
It just so happened today that I received an email from a friend that seemed very appropriate to the topic.
Here is my nomination for the most stressful, and probably one of the most important jobs in the world. And how we can thank these people for doing their job. (They don't get paid enough!).
The Gratitude Salute
This is pretty neat... a30 second video Have you ever seen one of our military walking past you and wanted to convey to them your thanks, but weren't sure how, or it felt awkward?
Recently, a gentleman from Seattle created a gesture which could be used
to express your thanks and has started a movement to get the word out.
Please everybody take just a moment to watch, the Gratitude Salute, and then forward it to your friends!
THEN START USING THE SIGN.

It's hard to believe that summer is almost over and the weather is ready to turn cooler again. This year has brought many changes in the Real Estate market too.
Whether or not you're thinking about buying a new home or selling your present home, almost everyone is interested in what the Real Estate market is doing in these volatile times.
More specifically- you probably want to know how these changes relate to the value of your home in the Raleigh area or your ability to buy a home here.
You may have heard the old saying "the 3 most important words in Real Estate are location, location, location" as it relates to a house.
The same is true of the Real Estate market. Even here in Wake County, the market can vary from town to town and from neighborhood to neighborhood.
Looking at the chart below of residential sales in Wake County, you can see that the number of homes sold per month has more than doubled from February 2009 to July 2009 (the last month for which numbers are available.) Average days on market have decreased from 106 days to 98 days for the period of those months also. These numbers seem to point to good news and an upward trend from our low point in January & February of this year.
If you'd like to know what's going on in YOUR specific town or neighborhood,
just email me and I'll send out your Personalized report.

The temperature's in the 90's and the humidity seems to be even higher here in North Carolina. But following a butterfly flitting through the garden still brings back the beauty of nature.
