Tomorrow is Rosie and Ethel's spa day. They will get their shampoos, grooming, teeth cleaned, nails cut, the works. While there their will also pick up some of their favorite foods and treats. All food and treat are all natural ingredients which is good to keep them healthy and happy.

The Purple Poodle Pet Center has been in Coral Springs since 1999 as a grooming service. David added to the grooming service natural dog food. This was great for Ethel and Rosie because both had food allergies and David explained to me that changing their diet to natural dog food would help and eliminate their allergies. Of course it took a little time but did work out well for both of them.

So not only does Rosie and Ethel love that Purple Poodle, mommy does too.

Residents of Coral Springs Florida The SWCD Is Coming To Your Canal Too.. Only the residents of Canal AA and BB are affected at the present time. But your property could be next. The City of Coral Springs and Sunshine Water Control District have commenced with a pilot program to clear and clean the canals. Residence of Canal AA and BB which is the Coral Springs Country Club area, received a four page document as notification. This has been followed up with two committee meetings at the City Hall the second Wednesday of May and June. Tomorrow night is the final meeting and will be followed up by a workshop for residence according to Thomas Donahue of the SWCD.

Now how this affects you personally? If you have trees inside there markers, the SWCD and board says it goes. I have a problem with this because I have 9 Royal Palm Trees lining the canal that are on the wrong side of their stakes. When we planted these trees as seedlings, we did not know of such property line. After 18 years this now becomes a problem. Did the SWCD just now notice the Royal Palm Trees? Not if they have been doing their job consistently cleaning our canals. An other point is that I have read an article that Royal Palm Trees are protected by Federal and State Law as a endangered species.

My hope is that they consider a case by case on each property.

And for all of us who purchased water front property and paid a little more for being on a canal or lake, These are not visual waterways but drainage ditches. Yes that is what I was told by the committee. Now my question is shouldn't we have paid less? We also have the cost of maintaining these areas. Remember a few years ago when all of our fruit trees were cut down and now they have realized this wasn't necessary. I listen to a webinar last week by Christine Rae on our environment and how we have destroyed it and what we can do to help the future. Did you know it takes 22 trees one year to clean the air for 1 person to breath. So why are we so quick to cut down trees. Haven't we made a big enough mess?
