Older Second Home Buyers

I was at a wonderful 90th birthday party for a client of mine. This party turned out to be a wonderful source of business. So many of the party goers are more than interested in purchasing second homes to be used for retirement later and also for fun now that their children are older and grandchildren want to come to the Cape. They are more than empty nesters they are alive and well and intent on living there lives..... I Will be showing homes this week to them. This will be more than just business it will definetly be fun...older buyers seem to really know what they want, where they want to be and how much they want to spend....they have fun personalities and no pretentious ways..they have been there and done that. Looking forward to an interesting week.

Result from Showing a Property

I had a very interesting weekend showing a property I have listed. The first Buyer arrived an hour late and did call. They appeared to be very interested in the property. Checked out the skylights any water spots, room sizes, how many toys the owners children had, how the dog got in and out of the doggie door, and if their dog could squeeze through, if they could remove the juliette balcony, where to put the gardens near the water, etc. and then ended with once again, how many toys the owners children had...guess what, they did not make an offer. Amazed me and made me wonder what exactly they were looking for. I called the Broker the next day and was told the Buyers needed a larger living room. Discerning Buyers?

Next Buyers loved the house were not concerned about busy street didn't need the doggie door, loved the toys, loved the hardwood floors, loved the yard. I called the Broker the next day and was told the Buyers wanted a larger first floor bedroom (there is an enormous masterbedroom on the second floor....) so who can judge who or what a discerning Buyer is or wants...we can...by asking questions before we bring them to a look at houses!!

FINALLY A NEW PICTURE

Thanks to all the help from active rain members I finally was able to put a new photo in my information area. Just thought that a more professional photo would be better, but my kids really liked my other one and voiced it loud and clear. Our children seem to visualize us in a different mode. My kids like my casual approach to life and my old photo reflected it in their eyes. Could be that they are right. Wonder if anyone will remember the other picture. PHOTOS

I am having a problem putting a new photo replacing the picture I have on my post. How do I do it? I tried doing add and editing on my spot, but nothing seems to be working....to Ted, if you see this please let me know what to do ...I feel that I need a more formal looking picture or does it really matter. I love the ones of members holding telephones, they all seem to look really professional and also less formal. Does anyone have any suggestions about this. I have noticed so very many variations that I am at a loss as to what to do next. Thanks for your imput, I am now signing off and going to bed..Lucille lnoble@weichertdunhill.net

cameras

I didn't realize it was so late 12:45 a.m. time to sign off ..hope to hear from some of you regarding reunions would love to know if anyone else have had any recently. I will be posting pictures as soon as they come in. We were so fortunate to have a classmate who devoted most of the evening along with his wife to taking pictures of every single classmate that came to the reunion and then continued for the rest of the evening doing more candids...When I asked him why he told me he didn't like to dance and it was a great way to talk to others and see reactions through the eye of the camera..very interesting..Lucille Noble lnoble@weichertdunhill.net
