Still growing. Yep thats right. Our little group that we started last February is up to 81 members now. We are not the biggest group on AR, but we sure do have a lot of fun. If you have ever wanted to get a bit more politically involved, you make want to take a look at Tea Party.
The group is a conservative based one with our main principle being that government is too large and needs to be reigned in. Obviously, it is named after all of the Tea Parties going on in the country, and many of our members have participated in a local event.
Come take a look. We are a pretty vocal group but we are a close knit group.
Right now most of us would like to get back to building homes like we were a few years ago. In fact, some of us would probably just like to be building anyting right now. This winter may turn out to be one very long, cold one for many builders in North America. But, if we all stick together, and help each other out with some planning and marketing tips, hopefully next spring will be better for all of us.
I started a little group called Home Builders Rock. Besides builders, anyone who deals with construction is welcome to join and participate. Obviously the group will be construction oriented. Take a look today.
Why do we use a progressive tax system? Why does a person who makes $100 per year have to pay a higher percentage of their earnings to the govt than does a person who makes half of that? It makes no sense to me.
Have you ever been told that someone really does not need all of that money? Most of us do not need hardly any money or things for that matter. We could all live extremely simplistically. We would survive. Even the libs who want to tax us so much could live without their coffee from the coffee house, and their green energy, and their newspaers. None of those are truly necessary in order to survive.
Some people say that as we make more money, we are able to give more away. That is true. As we earn more money, a lower percantage of our money is required in order to live comfortably. We have more disposable cash. More money to burn as the old saying goes.
Our tax system punishes high earners. Plain and simple. At some point, earning more means simply giving the government more. And all in the name of jealousy. Jealuosy has been around since Adam and Eve, or fish walking on water for liberals in the crowd. Jealousy was wrong then and it is wrong now.
Lets stop punishing success in this country. We need a better tax code.
All of us are constantly trying to come up with better ways to make money. Watch our use of time, cut down on expenses, get more referrals, the whole nine yards. It is always about that bottom line.
We all spend money and time on advertising. Getting people to know our name, and give us a call is a never ending battle. Anytime that we can get a referral from an existing customer, we know that our chances of winning a new client are much better. Everyone listens to friends after all.
As a guy who has done a bit of advertising, and spent some hard earned money chasing after clients, I know the drill. Spend lots to gain a little in the hopes that I will make a few bucks. Obviously it has worked because I am still in business. But I am constanly analyzing my advertising to see how it is performing for me. Was that x dollars worth it?
Last summer I started trying to come up with a way to increase my leads per dollar ratio. After drawing up lots of charts, and jotting down all of my crazy ad ideas, I came up with a few to try. One of them worked pretty good, so I started tweaking it a bit. Voila! Not bad.
My idea was based upon co-branding. We all have heard of it, and most have probably tried it. With it thought, there are alwyas inherent risks. What if my co-brand partner is bad at that they do? What if they make the clients mad? What if...? All night worrying could easily commence. What to do?
After a few tweaks I hit upon a very simple idea. It works for me and my colleagues here in our area, really well. It worked so well that I actually opened a new business, got a patent, and have expanded into other states.
If you are looking for new ways to advertise, or a new way to do business, email me. This is simple, cheap, and fun. It will get you clients.
Now thats what I'm talking about! Chuckie getting down to the peoples work. The C-man cometh. Earning your pay Chuckster. You the man. What a way to spend OUR money and OUR time.
More laws are needed. Yep. Congress is going to be looking after you. Those evil credit card companies may have been putting things in fine print again, and our advocate, the Chuckarino, is going to put a big flippin stop to it. Credit card companies take heed. Your rear ends will probably be sitting in the witness stand up in the Big House real soon. You had better call some MLB baseball players just so they can fill you in on how it feels to sit in that hotseat.
Iran with nukes. In debt up to our you know what. Our Senate holding Saturday votes. Our President not able to make an adult decision on Afghanistan. Terrorists shooting up military bases on our home turf. This list could go on and on. Real problems. Real debate needed. But what does Chuck Schumer come up with?
Our frequent flier miles may be going to waste. The airlines and the credit card companies are putting the rules in fine print, and once again, we are so stupid, that we need Uncle Chuckie to protect us. Our elected idiots may need to enact a few new rules. Protect us and stuff. Big Daddy coming to our rescue. No wonder our country is in trouble.

Don't forget to vote these jackasses out in 2010. They do not deserve to get paid by us anymore.
