I began my web career at a dot com start up in lower Manhattan (World Trade Center to be exact). Starting as a web developer, I worked my way up to upper/middle management by becoming a web product manager of a job board called CareerEngine.com. If you have a good memory, you can remember that the end of the dot com boom came about just before the Trade Center was hit by the terrorists.
