The Old Man's Reasons for Buying a 2 Family Home

Papa always preached: " buy a two family or multi-family Home" In fact his first home was a 2 family home with a 2 car garage and a finished basement with serperate entrance.

Here are his reasons for buying a two family home:

  1. Rent! That's right you will be getting money to help pay the loan.
  2. Many 2 families home are about the same price or just a bit more than single family homes insome areas.
  3. Build equity faster.
  4. Fewer multi family homes in the market.
  5. Helps you save money to put towards another property.
  6. When you are ready for a new home, keep your multi family home as your investment property. Now you are getting multible rental payments.

Papa was right not only did my first property make me some money, but it also paid for a college education.
