The market is Down and It is the time to buy a home! The problem that buyers are facing is that nobody realized what the next wave was going to be...It is now the economy and joblessness that is our challenge!
What can you do? You need to understand all of the factors that circle around the fears we as people may be dealing with. It is the absolute best time you could ever think of buying a home if you are in the position to do so...you have to feel this, and let go of your fear!
I have always believed that if you continuously worry so much about something, it will eventually come true! This goes true for positive, steadfast visions too! Which path are you on? It is not too late to switch if you are on the wrong one...but you must make a decision to change and be confident!
As always, I am amazed by what we are seeing happen...No market ever goes to ZERO!
Downtown Homes in Atlanta. I have been living in Atlanta since 1971. I have watched the roads be widen and the buildings get higher. I remember when hwy 400 did not exist, when spaghetti junction was built, and my favorite Jimmy Carter ended at Buford hwy. Why is this of my favorite; because this is where I grew up. I lived in Downtown Norcross most of my life. I love the Downtown Homes from the 1900s. Recently I have been showing one of my clients these Homes in Downtown Atlanta. We have been looking in places such as Kirkwood and East Atlanta Village. I have enjoyed this so much that I just can not wait ever time we go looking. I do not even want to stop. It brings back memories of the good old days of my life. I lived in a home from 1910 in Norcross on the railroad for about 10 years. I loved this home. Then I moved to Avondale Estates on the railroad for a few years in a 1950s home. I am still living on the railroad in a Downtown area. Without even knowing it this most be my trade mark. I did just learn about the shoot gun homes. These homes were actually built for the poor people back in the day because the cost of materials was less. The shoot gun home normally has a long hallway that goes from the front of the home all the way to the back of the home. As soon as you open the front door the hallway is wide and long to the rear of the home. With high ceilings, crown molding, and hardwood flooring it is breath taking. Normally the rooms are divided down the hallway with the living room, dining room and kitchen to the left or right; and then all the bedrooms lined up on the other side. Like I said they are amazing and unique homes. It is wonderful that the city of Atlanta has such great history and gorgeous homes. It is a pleasure to be a Realtor and have the opportunity to sell these homes.
Good Day, On Saturday Night night I went with my sisters Diane, Adelle, my niece's Courtnie, Hillary, Kimmie, some friends Jammie, Kalyn, and Jessica to the Gretchen Wilson Concert. It was fun. I really did enjoy myself after a long day of work. I had shown 11 homes to a client on Saturday. This was the third time taking this client out to shows them homes for a total of 40 homes. We had an offer on one home but it did not get accepted. That is what leads us into today. I was pretty tired from yesterday, so I stayed at home even though I should of been at Mossy Oak. I did still work from home. I did all the research on the few homes that my client had chosen that he was interested in and emailed that to him. About 4ish this Client called me and wanted to put in an offer on one of the homes. I had to go write up the offer and meet him for the signing. It was about 7ish when I got back home. I am excited for this family and hope that they get this home. The daughter is so cute; she and I are friends. Every time she sees me she gets excited. That makes me feel good about my career in Real Estate. Helping Families find the home of their Dreams.
Today was a good day. I was working online for a few hours and then the negotiation started on the contract that was submitted yesterday. This part of Real Estate is fun. When we go back and forth to get to a meeting point. I just hope that we get to that meeting point and not get the home for my clients. But, I always tell my clients not to get attached to a home before the closing table. In this market anything can happen before the closing. Anyway, we are still in negotiation and it seems like it will leak into tomorrow. That is ok, because really we do not want to hurry and make a quick decision. Another great thing happen today; I am on the PTSA committee at Duluth High School. Well it is my responsibility to get the tax form filled by Nov. 15th. I had so much trouble and stress to get this tax form filled but all came through and we got the job done. Now, it is time to go pick up my son from the ROTC presentation at Golden Corral for the Veterans.
Savoy buyer finds foreclosure deal October 20, 2008
Not everyone is having as difficult a time with the housing slump as we all may think. People with good credit and/or first time homebuyers are finding unheard of deals right now. Recently an owner of a house in Lawrenceville decided it was a good time to make an investment. He put his house up for sale, but soon realized he wasn't getting any acceptable offers. A friend told him about Linda Suidan of Result's Realty Services, and how she had just helped him close on a house. So he gave her a call, and she made some suggestions on how to make his home more marketable, how he could possibly offer a lease purchase or simply rent his current home. Within a month she had his home rented, and he was on the hunt. Suidan e-mailed him several active foreclosure listings in the area that he specified. After choosing the ones he wanted to see, she produced current sales in the neighborhoods and directed him on the best investments. With the choice made Suidan needed to negotiate with the bank on the price. The buyer was extremely impressed by her ability to make all the numbers on the HUD statement meet his requirements. Now in a bigger, better house, closer to his work and at an extreme discount, this new homeowner is proud of his wise decision. People are having success in the housing market. If you know the right people you can make a wise investment and improve your way of life at the same time!
