We had a slow Monday today at the Hoapili six postponements and no Auctions so the day was a easy no stress day for all the attorneys, Broker, and property owners.

I missed Thursday being so busy selling and showing properties to my Favorite artist on Maui. On Thursday there were two properties that went to the auction block and were foreclosed upon.

Today was a melee of madness a whirl of people the largest gathering so far I counted 45 people, although no one bid on the properties. Three fee service providers, two attorneys and John and I, with a handful of regulars. Faces are now starting to look familiar. Three properties hit the chopping blacks today and I didn’t see a deal even after cross referencing them. One of them was less then two years old and still not a deal at the steps of Hoaipili Hale Court House.

It’s maddening how many people are facing foreclosure on our islands, wether they are local or transplants, part timers or full timers many people have been forced to face hard times and the loss of their homes. My heart goes out to them and their struggles. I am starting to wear down a bit emotionally and seeing the future well I think Elvis was wrong when he said the Future Looks Bright Ahead! My Hanai Grand Mother Florence Hasegawa has been on twitter for about 2 months now, she's 101 years old, still lives alone and cooks for her self. She's very capable of taking care of her self. I spend Sundays with her and take advantage of that time to ask her questions, ask for advise and just savor the knowledge that a person of this age will have to share with us all.
Grand Ma Florence has now made the Honolulu Examiner.

She lives in a big Plantation house on the west side of Maui, the house was built by her husband it is a mix of plantation era and french design, a big stone porch (Lanai) Thatch Tin Roof on a very large lot facing the ocean and the island of Lania. I enjoy my days there, it is hot, no AC, yet the trees are old and bare fruit like Kinney Mango's and Grapefruit, limes and Guava. She's very well know and loved by the entire neighborhood. Her neighbors watch over her and we are all blessed to have her here with us.
I'll write more later I have to run down the hill and go to Puuone Towers for a new listing.
