The City of Chicago is a Great place for enterteinment. One of many events that are happening in Chicago this month of April is the One Book, One Chicago program by the Chicago Public Library; this is an event that all the Chicago Public Library branches have a book discusion about one book; the book selected for this Spring 2009 is The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros. It tells the story of Esperenza a young girl who lives in a Latino neighborhood in Chicago. I am part of a book club discusion at the Toman Branch library in the Little Village neighborhood (southwest side of the city), we already had the book discusion. If you live in the city of Chicago and want to attend a book discusion or any event celebration One Book, One Chicago visit http://www.chipublib.org/ for more information about book discusion. I enjoyed reading this book and it was easy to read.
Check the web site for Locations, I will post some locations later.
