Please re-post!!!!
This is Lincoln. He was rescued about a month and a half ago in Charlotte by a co- worker of mine from Petco. He was left chained in a backyard without food or water when the owners moved out. The woman who rescued him recently had to dwonsize from a house to a small apartment and couldn't continue fostering him anymore. He is about 10 months old and we believe he is a basset hound mix. He is wonderful with children and loves to play with other dogs. He is almost perfect at his potty training, he only has accidents if I forget to take him out on his regular schedule. He has had all shots and has just had both Frontline and Interceptor and received a clean bill of health. He is a VERY sweet companion and deserves a loving home. I have many more pictures if anyone is interested or would be willing to foster this little guy while we find him a loving home. Please contact me by phone at: 704-737-4094 or by email at: miavasuez@live.com.
Lincoln and I both thank you for your help!

Have you ever wondered what happens to the free to good home puppies out there? Here's the story of two in Rock Hill. Most people would like to believe they are out in fields chasing butterflies then going home to a big meal and having the family play with them until they fall asleep. Well that is not always the case actually from what I've been seeing it's rarely the case actually. This case is something I thought I should share. I don't want to preach but myself like probably most of you are under the impression that there are government agencies in place that protect our furry friends. This man got these puppies for free for his grand-kids. No one has ever seen them outside of their box I guess the grand-kids didn't visit that often. The box was in full sun and animal control was called. Animal control went to the house and no one was home so they left them a note telling them to call animal control.( why did they not pick them up? ) Two of the Ladies in our group stopped to talk to the man about at least moving them out of the full sun but he cussed them and slammed the door in their face. So they went to the police department, got an officer who made him move the box into the shade. They are going to follow up and see what else can be done, is what the officer said to them, as they were watching from a nearby parking lot! Well here was what was done to follow up on this, Nothing. And here is the e-mail I received yesterday.
On my way to work this morning I dropped off a bag of puppy food with a note for James, the owner. His wife called me shortly after to tell me that one of the puppies died on Monday and the second one was euthanized by Animal Control this morning. She said she called Catawba vet on Monday and they told her they probably had Parvo. She called A/C and asked them to pick up the 2nd one because she assumed she was dying too. After she read my note this morning she called A/C and asked them if she could give me the puppy and they told her she signed a surrender form and that they euthanized her at 9:30 this morning.
Thank you for reading this and please spread the word to people about being responsible with their pets. This is just one case and there are many more just like it.

Please cross-post if you can. This girl is in desperate need of help! Our city and county ordinances are so vague the police and animal control do absolutely nothing when they are called out on abuse cases. It's like they are adding to the problem because they continually allow people to get away with severe abuse. If the animal is not so severely emaciated that they are on the verge of death the authorities will tell the owner to fix the problem and walk away.

I would like to invite anyone that would like to come to our Realtor's luncheon on Tuesday, May 19 from 11:30am to 2:30pm. The home is located in The Overlook on Mountain Island Lake, this is a beautiful lake located between Lake Wylie and Lake Norman. The home is 3720 sq ft with a gorgeous gazebo on the water with a boat lift and 2 jet ski lifts and a AWESOME view! If you would like to attend and you are not a Realtor please call and RSVP so we will have enough food. We will have lunch at my listing and dessert at another Keller Williams agent's listing(her personal home). Attached is the flier with info and directions. 803-230-2672
