Our country is going through some rough times to say the least. My husband's company had a pretty big layoff Friday. Out of 250 employees about 40 people got cut, these are people with children, families and bills just like everyone else being affect by our economy. There are options if you have missed a house payment or feel like you will be missing one soon. Some banks are doing what is called loan modifications where they go in and adjust some of the perimeters of your loan so you do not default on your loan...makes sense to keep you in your home and out of foreclosure.

If a loan mod. is not an option and you are not too far behind on you loan payment a short sale could be a good way to go. This is were you owe more on your home than your home is worth. The bank agrees to let you sell you home for less and they are willing to take the loss on the difference. Of course this will have some affect on your credit but nothing compared to a bankruptcy or foreclosure.

Here are 4 of the 8 puppies that a friend from a competing RE company and I rescued yesterday. I have 4 and she took 4. They are precious babies! Their mom was chained to a tree and their half sister was chained to a fence and this was the fate they had to look forward to. I do not think it will be hard to house train them either, they have only had 2 accidents between the 4 of them since I brought them home with me! They are going to be BIG dogs. If anyone knows of someone looking to adopt please let them see these pictures. The adoptions are run through the Animal Adoption League in York, SC. Transport is possible!

CROSS POST PLEASE! We ran into this HORRIBLE situation 4 days ago. 5 chained young dogs tangled unable to reach shelter, water (didn't have any!!) We gave them straw and one didn't have a doghouse. We have a rescue that will take 2, but have transport to put together. We still need help placing 3. This boxer beagle about 1 year, super sweet, dog friendly, female, one beautiful green eyed chocolate emaciated pit/ lab/boxer mix, and one 7 month old lab/pit mix 7 month old from another tangled chained situation.PLEASE if you can help one we do not want these dogs to end up at AC or worse the slimy grandson wants to find a place for 2 of them, but they are on his grandmother's property and she said she wants them all gone, 2 belonged to her son who is in jail for 4 years!!! These are very sweet dogs that have very happy personalities even though that are living in horrible conditions. The first picture is the guy that we have in our care now, you can see every bone in his little body. They were so happy to be around humans when we were there Saturday, it is unbelievable that people could treat such gentle animals so badly.

***UPDATE*** All 4 dogs were removed from this property this past week. The guy in the first picture has a new home as soon as he is neutered. The guy in the middle picture and 1 of the females will be in transport to Indiana this week and will hopefully have great homes soon. And the last female is in a foster home now.
