The Conestoga Golf Course Opens at Sun City Mesquite in Mesquite, Nevada

On November 6th, the much anticipated Conestoga Golf Course was unveiled to residents of Sun City Mesquite! This world-class golf course was designed by Gary Panks of Scottsdale, Arizona and is managed by Troon Golf, one of the top names in golf management in the nation. The official grand opening for daily fee play is scheduled for the end of January, 2010. Residents of Sun City Mesquite receive preferential tee times as well as discounted green fees. Annual passes are also available with additional savings for our avid resident golfers. When I played opening day, I was in awe of the course and some of it's dramatic terrain. Some of the holes have dramatic drop offs and it was difficult to concentrate on the golf because the view was so beautiful! I would rate this course at the top of my list!!

Gary Panks, the designer of the Conestoga Golf Course, was on hand to usher in the opening of this magnificent course. Some of the holes are very challenging and were designed to appear as though the course was forged out of the natural terrain. Some of the holes have 75 ft. drops from the tee to the hole.

Mayor Susan Holechek, city officials and VIP's attended the ribbon cutting officially opening the course. By the way, the mayor is also a resident of Sun City Mesquite.
