Time Off is More Important than Time On
Those who don't get their priorities straight, thinking that this is just a job, are going to have a hard time succeeding in the long run.
I've seen countless executives who had great potential, but they eventually failed because they didn't value and take necessary down time. Non-stop frenzied activity stifles creativity and can actually prevent you from attaining the future you are working towards.
Set limits and boundaries on your time. Plan days and times that are your own and tell your family and friends when you are not going to be working. Somehow, get away from business as usual. You will find yourself looking forward to and relishing those times off.
What you do away from work is as important as what you do while you are there. Physical, mental, social, and spiritual rest stops will enable you to have a laser focus when you are at work. Time off is an absolute must for satisfaction, happiness, accomplishment and quality of life.
How to "Make Time Off More Important than Time On
1. Realize and focus on the priorities of life (Family, spirituality, friends, etc.).
2. Physically and financially book activities with others.
3. Have a colleague look after your business when you take time off (minimum of 1.5 days per week).
Set Practical and Attainable Goals
It is vitally important that you have goals. Without goals, you'll flounder around with no particular focus. Although we want to establish long term goals that are ambitious, we should be realistic with short term goals we make. Otherwise, we get frustrated and quit.
What is the process of setting attainable goals?
Break the larger, daunting goals in to manageable tasks. What you'll do is make weekly and daily goals. They become less intimidating, much easier to obtain, and you don't feel overwhelmed with a year's worth of work to do. If all you have to do is contact 3 new people and you've reached your goal for the day, surely you can do that.
Setting goals will help you get what you want out of your career and your life.
How to "Set Practical & Attainable Goals"
1. Write down in detail what you want out of life (with your significant other, if applicable)
2. Your main goal needs to be the number of quality prospecting contacts per day.
3. Every goal you have needs to be on paper so you can be held accountable.

Show Up
It's quite similar to buying a lottery ticket...if you don't buy a ticket will you win? Absolutely not!
Real Estate is just like that. You have to at least show up. When you are not busy it is important to show up to the office, show up to look at new homes on the market. The very action of showing up gets you in the frame of mind to do business.
You know if you put in proper hours in this business you will have success. It is one of the only businesses where that can happen.
Even when I was a fumbling beginner, I would meet with clients and they would STILL buy a home from me, despite my inexperience. All because I showed up and took care of their needs.
Get up, get going, show up, work hard and work smart. That is how you make a 6 figure income.
How to "Show Up"
1. It is easy to be lazy. Try not showing up at all and see the results. Sometimes we need pain to make us gain.
2. Be 15 minutes early to every appointment. Be prepeared. Bring homework for further efficiency.
3. Put your alarm on one hour earlier. Most highly successful people get up at 5 am. It is like adding another day to your week.
