I sold Real Estate in the Atlanta area 30 years ago and always hoped to get back into the business. During the years out of Real Estate, I kept abreast of what was going on in the market, looked at houses on the market regularly and when we made the move to Ellijay 12 years ago, I learned every nook and crannie of the area. I have been back in Real Estate for two years and I love listing and selling houses. I moved to Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate early in 2007 and sold over three million dollars in residential property. I qualified for Metro Brokers Summit Club Century and the Northeast Georgia 2 Million Dollar Club. I think the key to success is to be responsive to clients and customers. I make myself available to my clients and return phone calls immediately if at all possible. I also try to familiarize myself with what is available in the market and the changes that occur. My love for this wonderful town of Ellijay and the beautiful North Georgia Mountains have to show when I am introducing a client to the area. Favorite Areas of Ellijay

Two of my favorite areas in Ellijay are Coosawattee River Resort and Big Creek Mountain. While I am very familiar with Gilmer County which includes Ellijay, East Ellijay, and Cherry Log, I have sold and listed many properties in Coosawattee River Resort which is a large gated community with 24/7 security, three pools, including an indoor pool, river parks, a fishing pond, river rafting and tennis. Big Creek Mountain is a small gated community less than 8 miles from the Ellijay square. I have more than 25 properties listed in this development; almost every property in Big Creek Mountain has a view, the roads are paved and there are underground utilities. There are presently four brand new homes for sale in Big Creek Mountain with over an acre lots available to build your dream home on. It is a great place to call home or have that weekend get-away. Another favorite is the Downtown Ellijay Square area with its many shops and restaurants. Several times a year there are parades in downtown Ellijay to celebrate Apple Festival, The Fourth of July and the Christmas season. Downtown Ellijay is just a very special place and a place I hope my clients and customers will learn to love Ellijay as much as I do. Lynn had an Open House at my home one day in April when there was snow and ice. We thought about cancelling the Open House but the ads were out there and the signs were in place. Lynn had one customer that cold day; they wrote a contract on our home the next day and we closed in July. It was a good experience.
