Macomb County Michigan is located northeast of Detroit, Michigan and continues to be one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the U.S. It was formally organized in 1818 as the third county in the State of Michigan and named in honor of General Alexander Macomb, a highly decorated veteran of the War of 1812.
